Zarkan Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) I don't see why people hate the names of the Hero Factory sets. True, the names aren't similar names to those of Bionicle, but Hero Factory is it's own brand. Sure it started as Bionicle, but Bionicle started from tevhnic which didn't have Bionicle names. As I've said before, it's because they sound very uncreative and like something out of Power Rangers or a little kids toy. Heck, the names are about one small step away from being ripped right out of Rescue Heroes. William Blaze, Billy Blazes - you get the picture. Oh, and once again, Antrozek wins the entire topic with another fabulous reinvisioning of the Hero Factory sets. Man, if you don't already have a job doing this, 'trozy, there's probably a lot of companies that would pay good money for this kind of talent. Edited January 28, 2010 by Grevious Quote
The Crazy One Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 (edited) snippyAnyone else think that Hero Factory look good in Megaman X style?. Hmm....nah, your old one was way more suited to HF IMO. That was really good. Edited January 28, 2010 by The crazy one Quote
Phantoka_Chirox Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I heard there was a UK Toy Fair 2010... Quote

Front Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 But Brits have the class...... And the major Toy Fair is in Nurnberg Germany a couple of weeks from now. I visited it last year, enjoyed it very much, especially the radio controlled cars and jet-aircrafts, but also all the HO-model trains. Impressive fair. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I honestly don't think this would get as much hating if it was BIONICLE... Speaking of Toyfairs; when is the US Toyfair again? -ZotS Quote

Considering the heroes are actually robots and not humans, the names are actually funny and original in a way. It is just LEGO's way of seeing that they won't be taking themselves too seriously with HF's story. I think many people out there like the idea. So many comments in the blogosphere about how they didn't like Bionicle for the confusing story... Edited January 28, 2010 by vexorian Quote
Brickthing Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 About the London Toyfair, photography was prohibited, so while LEGO fans there sneaked pictures of other sets, I doubt anyone saw it worth their effort to sneak Hero Factory sets. I'm on the lookout for them though. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Hopefully they aren't terribly posed. -ZotS Quote

Artahn Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Because Lego has 10 gigantic HF sets that they're trying to hide from AFOLs so that they'll be that much more excited when they get to see them. Quote

Artahn Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) Okay, before I get any more people's hopes up, please forgive me for not being able to find a "joking" font... I tried to tell you with the in the corner... Although, they've done stunts close to that before, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do actually do that, just on a smaller scale (say, 2-4 sets) Edited January 30, 2010 by Artahn Quote
william blaze Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 (edited) The first ones I'm getting are Duncan Bulk, Jimi Stringer, Preston Stormer, and William Blaze because they are cool and epic. Edited January 30, 2010 by william blaze Quote
