---Vertea--- Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 On friday we had a release party in the HF project. We started out in the yard surrounded by the Tech-House (where Technic, HF and Racers are), got a special designed HF t-shirt(designed by our crazy german designer Cerim) and went out onto the grass lawn to have some fun.We played beach-volley, had a rubber-boots throwing competition, and other fun stuff. I won a HF set for making an awesome save in beach volley :-) Afterwards we had some food and a soft drink. Working at Lego is not that bad .... Well I know what I want to do for a career now lol. Anyway, the fact that HF hasn't come out yet is good for me because it will allow me to focus on other LEGO lines for once. As much as I love Bionicle and am looking forward to the villains of HF, I think I have begun to prefer regular LEGO sets. Quote
Zip Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Be patient. The sets usually come out during mid-June. Nope. I remember last year's Legends being spotted around mid-to-late April. This is a special situation (new theme to replace a very famous one and all), so I'm guessing TLC is saving momentum and actually working to release on the exact due date as opposed to being early like the other themes. Also what Front said. Quote

The Legends popped up on the Toys R Us website in mid-to-late May, and that was the first time they were available, and the only time until they hit stores proper in mid-June. That's why I got to review Mata Nui on the BZP frontpage, because I ordered him on-line before he was available elsewhere, and beat the other staff members to it. Quote
Brickthing Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 REVIEW. NAO. Front has had HF sets for a while; he helped make them. It's you other people near Toys'R'Us stores that should be getting the sets around now to review them. Oh, and our favourite webmaster has tried his hand at HF Villains. Are there really that many tri-connectors in the sets? Quote
Bfahome Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Are there really that many tri-connectors in the sets? That's what I've been saaaayiiiing. :3 There are six in Corroder alone. Quote
The Dor Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 (edited) That's what I've been saaaayiiiing. :3There are six in Corroder alone. Or maybe 7, or else Xplode has 3. There are a combined total of 9 between the two. I can't find the 9th. HAHA NEVERMIND I was looking at the... neck area wrong. Anyway, I love how this creation of Bink's just shows off how many of them there are. I can see from this that the villain generic weapon holder / shield piece / arm / whatever you can call it will be very useful. Also, Corroder's claws are awesome, and Xplode has a serious case of doublemouth. This MoC has excited me about HF again :D Edited June 2, 2010 by The Dor Quote
The Crazy One Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I was desperatley trying to conserve money on this wave, but I have fallen inlove with it again. Long live Hero Facory! There goes my moeny for Kingdoms. Reading back, did I hear that HF sets would be appearing soon? I thought it was August. Quote
Aanchir Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I myself am loving the concept of Hero Factory, but can't say I'm going to commit to buying the sets. Yet. I can't wait for them to come out, though, so I can see a review. That way, I can have a better idea of the proportions if I want to do fanart or something (or MOCing, even, despite not having HF parts). Quote
Bfahome Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I've been thinking these new limb pieces might make great giant finger/claw pieces. :D Quote
The Crazy One Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) I've been thinking these new limb pieces might make great giant finger/claw pieces. :D Those hands would have to be massive. XD EDIT: Hey Front, which HF lads did you get? Any villans? I wanna know what they are like.......review pretty please..... Edited June 5, 2010 by The crazy one Quote
Captain M Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Those hands would have to be massive. XD Yeah. I revised Axonn would be nice. Quote
The Crazy One Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) Yeah. I revised Axonn would be nice. Oh yeah, he was a beast. That axe was heeeeuuuggggee!! =) I think I have him somewhere. I'm might try a rebuild. Edited June 5, 2010 by The crazy one Quote
Rocketbilly Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Really looking forwards to these sets. I intend to get one of each hero and then a second Bulk and a second Stringer to MOC my own all-black Hero. One thing though - are the canisters the Hero sets come int he same as the Bionicle Stars sets? they look similar but I'm not sure. Will/Rockebilly Quote

Will/Rockebilly They aren't the same, but very close, as you can see here (large image) Man, how long is it gonna take for these sets to come out? I guess I'm too used to BIONICLE's 2-3 month early releases. Last year the Legends were found at the end of May. :| Quote

And I don't see how it's an insult at all. The Toa Mata and Toa Nuva both used the same canisters as the Roboriders. The Bohrok and Bohrok-Kal used the same canisters and lids (obviously), while the Toa Metru's varied only from the Toa Mata's by an added texture at the base. Vahki and Rahkshi had the same canisters, as did Toa Hagah and Toa Hordika. And, of course, Glatorian and Glatorian Legends had the same canisters. Needless to say, canister reuse is nothing new. I purposely sought out the sets in Tesco, and yeah.....the lids have that Skrall Maze pattern thing on them which would obviously mean that it wouldn't go wih the HF sets. Oh, and by "sought out the sets" I mean the Bionicle Stars. Wasn't expecting to see HF sets, and there weren't. Will/Rocketbilly Quote
Mesonak Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) New Hero Factory Pictures Dunno if this is someone actually having the sets and posing them, or if it's a display or something. Either way, it's cool. Looks like Thunder's claw can snap open or snap shut when you pull a trigger or something; Neat little function that I never noticed before. also lol horrible poses -Mesonak EDIT: Looking at the XPlode picture again, I can see a little corner of the skrall armor on his chest; And it's red. :'D Edited June 8, 2010 by Mesonak Quote
Darkness Falls Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 The more I see of these sets, the more I like. Nebula looks better and better especially build-wise, and Rotor even looks very cool. However, my favorite is Thunder- I never really liked silver on a lot of the Bionicle sets but on this guy it just works, and he looks great! I also love Meltdown but that was a given! Quote

There are a bunch of flaws in the building of these sets. The person who built them is either a newb to the system or was in a huge rush to build them so he/she could get the pics up before anyone else. Quote
Aethersprite Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Meh. I wonder why TLG didn't change the grey piece at Corroder's crotch area to black. It looks obscene. On the other hand, Xplode looks worse. The contrast between black and red is so there. Rotor's still looking great, but I still head the hate. So little detail. Where're his eyes? Lovin' Nebula more. But seems TLG still hasn't fixed the problem of all those loose studes... Quote
Phantoka_Chirox Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Just Noticed Furno's Flames are detachable Quote
Leugi Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 If there's anything to like about the Heros is their helms/masks/faces... And the fact that we can get silver glatorian hands! And Thunder is amazing, period Quote
The Crazy One Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Hehe, that guy can't build sets that well can he? Quote
