Captain M Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Bulk and vapour ahh finally but to bust this partyVapour seems to have solek arms for wel ARMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I zoomed in and it looks like those are Rahkshi legs, not Solek arms. Quote
_shaddow_ Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I zoomed in and it looks like those are Rahkshi legs, not Solek arms. They're Solek's members, you can see the shape "clearly". Quote
Aethersprite Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Aha! I knew the Bulk in Bulk & Vapour was referring to Duncan Bulk! I'm quite disappointed with this set, though. On two fronts: 1) Bulk himself. I don't mind the Avtoran jetpack, but Jimi Stringer's weapon? Seriously? I'd rather they give us his regular arm with a melee weapon or something. Or they could do a symmetrical mold of Bulk's original weapon. Or, they could make Stringer's weapon silver. Bleh. 2) I'm quite torn with Vapour. I don't like the fact he's reusing Rotor's mask and Corroder's blades. However, they seem to fit in with his overall aesthetic quite nicely. I don't know if he's badass or he's a mess. I'll wait for better pictures. But seriously, I'd rather spend that $20 on Von Nebula. Or other sets in other lines. Meh. Quote
greenskull139 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Hmmmm.... Even though this set looks OK I still do not like the hero factory over bionicle . To me hero factory is just 5 really big parts put together. Quote
Just Imagine Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Wow, whung is on a roll today. Thanks for the pic. Still not too crazy for Hero Factory... the mere fact that this set contains two figures and that a single 12 piece Hero costs 10+ USD will probably mean this set will be waaaay overpriced. I wish HF sets had more pieces and gears, like the first Bionicles, since they are, well, robots. Quote
Bfahome Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 the mere fact that this set contains two figures and that a single 12 piece Hero costs 10+ USD Aren't they the same price as the Agori/Stars ($8)? Quote

squidman85 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Cool set.I think i will buy it,if it will be 24.99(7.99 Hero set + 12.99 Villain set + some money, because it's a limited set).I need blue Corroder blades and some weapons. Quote
80 Dollar Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 We all wished they had gears. But the point is, how would gears work with the current design? I don't like gears, they ruin poseability. The set looks ok, They could've changed Bulk a bit more but it is a special edition after all...the villain looks great, except for yet another example of how kids who like big big GIANT guns ruin new sets more and more. They worked on the Hordika, but then they died out. Not too sad to be honest. Quote
Delta 38 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Box photo of 7179 Bulk & Vapour (Limited Edition) is found. Hmm. Might be decent if it's relatively cheap ($40 or so is the maximum). Quote
80 Dollar Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Hmm. Might be decent if it's relatively cheap ($40 or so is the maximum). That sounds about right, Mutran and Vican cost about 35$ and both sets should have basically the same amount of pieces... Quote
Front Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 That sounds about right, Mutran and Vican cost about 35$ and both sets should have basically the same amount of pieces... The prize is far from that. Quote
Front Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Higher or lower? Look at the box art again. Villian without piston legs, regular sized Hero. Quote
Bfahome Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Look at the box art again. Villian without piston legs, regular sized Hero. I know, but you can never be too sure. :P Quote
Monasti Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Gosh I hope it's good. Otherwise it'll be a waste of money. If I can even get it. ~Monasti~ Quote
Bundalings Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 That sounds about right, Mutran and Vican cost about 35$ and both sets should have basically the same amount of pieces... I got Mutran and Vican for $15 USD... was that a sale? Quote
Aethersprite Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 I got Mutran and Vican for $15 USD... was that a sale? Definitely a sale. Even so, I don't remember Mutran & Vican being $35 USD. $20 USD or $25 USD at most. Quote
The Dor Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Definitely a sale. Even so, I don't remember Mutran & Vican being $35 USD. $20 USD or $25 USD at most. I also got Mutran & Vican for $15. Before the 2008 price shift, obviously. So, I would assume that this set will be $20. Quote
