Posted October 1, 201014 yr Japan Railway (JR) Series 40 Locomotive I am really addicted to the Japanese trains. Why? It is because the design of the locomotives and also the color appearance. This production is mainly produced for the Brick Adventure 2011 in Hong Kong (Event will be held in 12-22th Jan, 2011). with also we have a great chance from Lego Hong Kong to hold an Lego Fans event in Tsim Sha Tsui on 30th, Sep, and challenge my master, AndyBear with his Lego JR train Yamate Line. So I decide to build this Japanese style locomotive to compete with him. Let’s see some of the picture of the locomotive first. And the show time, my JR Series 40 Locomotive The real Series 40 Locomotive hasn’t any pantographs The ventilation system of course. The locomotive can adapt around 1x passengers. Train doors can be opened of course. There are pillars for the passengers without any seats. The train driver of course. “Hi all, how do you feel about the locomotive?? Funny or boring?? Let’s continue to have look of the following. And that’s also the part I am really addict to….” The first locomotive. The front door is opened (compare to the above photo). What’s happening? Locomotive breakdown? There is also a locomotive entering the same platform. It seems to going to bump into each other. The front door of the second locomotive is opened. Haha !!! It is going to combine together. After the combination, much more passengers can be carried for each time travel. The real locomotive combination picture. Thanks for watching. October 1, 201014 yr This is just a great creation PrinceWilliam! You really captured the overall look of the real thing perfectly! The train platform is equally impressive with the underground staircase, neat details on the roof and even the electric posts are well-done. Truly impressive work!
October 1, 201014 yr The level of detail is simply stunning. Though the train is extremely well done, the station is what catches my eye. You can feel the bustle of the commuters looking forwards to getting home!
October 1, 201014 yr Those are some beaufitul MOCs and the attention to detail is something definitely worth mentioning here. The addition of an actual MOC train station to the locomotives really helps them come to life - well done! However, would you mind downsizing some of these pics a bit please? The maximum size of images posted on the boards is generally 800x600 - you could, of course, always provide links to your Brickshelf gallery for higher-res picture. Thanks
October 1, 201014 yr Wow! Triple-Nice engine you did there. Just beautifull. All those details makes it really ease to just stay and look at it some more. Overhead lines, opening doors, escalator, ticketing machine, roof, the pantograph, just about everything.
October 2, 201014 yr PW: this is really an impressive creation, but your image sizes are way too large. Our site guidelines are images no larger than 800x600. Please resize or provide a link to the large images - would appreciate it, -TB Follow-up Oct 6: Your images have been removed.
October 6, 201014 yr I like the replication factor, you really reproduced a near perfect example. I must direct people to also check out your station thread as well if they haven't. There are many more good pictures there. I like how you populate your train with so many friendly people, it really helps the scene.
October 10, 201014 yr Pics are gone from Brickshelf! What happened, Prince William? Can you provide us with another (deep)link) of the pics, please? I simply loved your creation and I absolutely need another closer look cause I didn't have the time so far! cheers
October 10, 201014 yr It's not Prince William, it's Brickshelf - it's having all sorts of problems, again. I'd also use the opportunity to hereby urge Brickshelf users to back-up their pics or use another photo-hosting service as an alternative.
