Posted October 3, 201014 yr This is the latest addition to my Lego town. The bottom floor is a small grocer/bakery store, and the second story is a flat in which a woman resides. I had a lot of fun making this, and tried a few new techniques. Here we are! I'm sorry in advance about the grainy quality of some of the pics, however I did my best in the lighting conditions. I might try and get a few clearer snaps in different light another time. My fridge cabinet - inside are various cartons. Second floor: The roof: Now some extras: The florist. A big excuse to use those wonderful gold domes! And my pizza oven cafe! The whole lot together. Kind of MMV style - Havoc on the high street! The most fun part of the MOC to build, of course - Extensive Brickshelf - when moderated. I hope you enjoyed! Thanks for viewing! EDIT - updated with better pics! Hurrah! October 3, 201014 yr Great job! I really like the quantity of details inside and outside (especially that oven, or the roof with the birds!)
October 3, 201014 yr Just AWESOME 'Commander Laquiet' - a beautiful grocery store with living areas upstairs, sweet looking florist and a neat pizza eatery. Great work 'Commander Laquiet' and I'm a conformist! !
October 3, 201014 yr Simply a lovely creation.. Even if the grocer is a bit small in terms of modular building standards, the fine details of the exterior deisgn and interiors certainly makes up for it. The brickbuilt birds are very cleverly done, and the outside flowershop is a great MOC in itself. Supreb job on this Comm. Laquiet!
October 3, 201014 yr Author Thanks for the great comments guys! Really appreciated. I've updated with better pics for you. Enjoy!
October 3, 201014 yr Amazing detail! Great creation! Keep it up! Edited October 3, 201014 yr by Mrlegoninja
October 3, 201014 yr Hello! A lovely scene. It's full of life, details and humour. These inverted oriental arches are versatile pieces as you have proven in your nice building. Cheers, ~ Christopher
October 3, 201014 yr That looks absolutely awesome! I love the scene at the end. My favorite might be the pirate with the whip.
October 4, 201014 yr Well done on this mate, the level of detail is really nice, the insides are amazing, and the scene at the end just made me laugh so hard Well done, and definitely keep bricking!
October 4, 201014 yr I like the variety in colors, as well as the nice little balcony for the ladies flat, very Rapunzel like. Great MOC.
October 4, 201014 yr Let me start by saying this is a great building with great details. I really think your floors could stand to be maybe one layer of bricks taller. From the outside they look too short, there needs to be a little more headroom at the awning on the first floor and arch on the second. To be fair, the Modulars really are a little too tall for the minifigs and it could just be that I've spent too much time with those kinds of sets.
October 4, 201014 yr Really liking these MOC's, so much in a small space and a brilliant variety of colour. Particularly like the pizza oven..... might have to steal this idea in the future!
October 4, 201014 yr VERY nice! Excellent use of the Prince of Persia arches, and a diverse entry into the long-lived modular building craze. I personally love the size variation compared to the official sets, and combined with a few MOCs to 'transition' itself I feel it would look right at home. Great work!
October 6, 201014 yr That's awesome! I'm particularly fond of the pizza oven, reminds me of a holiday in Italy.
