With Walter bleeding on the floor, swelling with rage, Ollivander's overconfidence becomes his weakness and he's quickly hit by a shot to his torso and another to his head, both of which felt similar to being slapped by a wet cloth. As Walter prepares to send an unforgivable curse his way, Dippet once again summons his misty white fox to protect himself. As the two duellists catch their breath, they each disarm one another. After scrambling around for their wands, Kovacs manages to get the upper hand and send another burning beam at Ollivander's forehead, leaving a nasty red mark. Both opponents are becoming weak. Who will emerge victorious?

Dippet summons his magical Patronus again to protect him from another one of Kovacs' speedy shots. He then knocks Walter to the floor yet again with an Expelliarmus as he tries to get back up. Ollivander hobbles over, clutching his stinging forehead with one hand and his wand clutched tightly in the other, pointed at Walter's torso. As he begins the incantation, Kovacs slips in his own Expelliarmus and Ollivander is sent backwards against the wall. The two slowly rise and each send a beam of light at the other's head. The two spells collide halfway, creating a burst of sparks. As they begin to fall, a second beam of light disrupts the display and hits Walter square in the chest. With his remaining energy, he decides to admit defeat.

The young Gryffindor and Slytherin students agree to a rematch after Dippet's victory a few days ealier. They meet in a corridor and draw their wands. Both begin to fight dirty, using Sectumsempra and Crucio. Johann's Unforgivable Curse is the more powerful and sends Dippet into fits of agony. Peterschmut, after practicing hard since his defeat, learnt to hit an enemy while his down and so swells Dippet's feet up like ballons until his shoes began to rip apart. Trying to defend himself, Ollivander raises his wand to disarm his opponent while Johann does the same and so both drop their wands under the other's influence. Being on the floor already, Dippet is quick to retrieve his wand and sends a bright yellow beam of light at Peterschmut's stomach, which wraps around him and constricts him tightly...

As the rope-like beam fades, both duellists, each fearing an imminent attack, defend themselves. Dippet is a little more cautious and quickly disarms Johann as he attempts and attack. Unfortunately for Ollivander, the Slytherin manages to catch his wand as it falls, brandishing it skillfully as the Gryffindor watches before hitting him in the chest with a red beam. Ollivander's lungs swell up before releasing bouts of uncontrollable laughter. This continues even as Peterschmut performs a Cruciatus curse, his wand an inch from Dippet's writhing face. Ollivander manages to break free of the curse with a Protego that rebounds the curse back at Johann, who merely deflects it into a portrait, causing the old man within to scream out in pain.

Expecting Johann to defend himself, Ollivander tries to sneak in a Silencio, but it is useless against Peterschmut's next Crucio that hits Dippet straight in the face, causing him to fall to the floor in agony, defeated.
