UltraPrime Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Just joined today, but been lurking for a week or so... I collect the City line mainly (and have a 9v train for it), but have a few Star Wars and Ferrari sets too. Looking forward to when the Batman sets hit the UK :-) Hope to have a great stay here and look forward to chatting! Quote

Hobbes Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Welcome to EB, UltraPrime. I collect the City line mainly (and have a 9v train for it) Aaaah, yes, finally a new member who is into the classic lines of LEGO ;-) Which train do you have? Do you rather collect/have the old Town sets (1980s and early 1990s) or the newer (World)City sets? I know you said "City" but that could have been a generalisation... Boy, did that question sound like Phes?!... Quote
UltraPrime Posted May 2, 2006 Author Posted May 2, 2006 I mainly have the new stuff (been collecting for a year), but have a couple of old sets I picked up off ebay - would like to get more, like houses, garage, bus station, etc. I have 4512 Cargo Train and the Cargo Crane to go with it, plus mome extra trucks I picked up. I want to expand my city - cleared out one of the spare rooms over weekend and I'm working on a layout in there... Quote
Hobbes Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Sounds great. I just started sorting all my bricks yesterday so I can finally start building my layout. I've finished my setup (i.e. tables) but haven't started building yet. I got 4512 last christmas from Mrs Hobbes *wub* When I saw it for the first time a couple of years back I didn't really like it, but the more often I saw it the better it looked somehow. And then there was a sale and I wanted it - and got it ;-) PS: I just noticed that you live in Bristol - I was in Bath last Thursday ;-) Quote
