So before going to Windsor I bought these two sets. The only thing to say is, that You get a minifig in each and that's about it. I guess one couldn't ask much from promotionals, but the thing that puzzles me is, how on earth does these guys "drive" their outfits? No controls and weapons are handheld. Judge for yourselves:

And now the red one:

Considering the price I'll give them a clean 7.0 for the bricks and the minifigs.

The real crappy thing is that once again someone decided to replace the space gun with side sight in the white set - a bit confusing and very unprofessional :-|

They were released as part of this week's Donald Duck Magazine.

I'm off to see if I can get more for my fellow EB members.

They price will be 3Euros or 4 USD...

I'll post them in the buy, sell, trades and finds if I get any

I would get these to make smaller exosuits. Probably using the gamut as base model and extending from there. Hopefully they will turn out like miniturized versions of the big mechs.

ack - edited because you answered right before i posted.

Nice review KimT!

I bought both of these two mechs with the Donald Duck Magazine too. I was actually thinking of making my own review of these sets, but did before me, and that fair, infact it saved me quite some time.

Obviously this isn't demonstratable with minifigs, but a lot of real-world-ish mechs use the leg movements of the driver to control the legs of the mech. Say, if you lift up your left leg, sensors in the mech will detect it and left the left leg of the mech itself.

Thanks for the Info

They look like nice parts packs, you get those nice big slopes from each leg, and either gun or wing pieces depending on red/white. Dunno what I'd do with the cloned figures tho.

I actually wouldn't mind that they replaced the 'spacegun' pieces on the white mech's arms, the piece they used instead makes a nice small manuevering thruster for space MOCs

ohwell, too bad I'm in the USA and can't get these

who knows tho... maybe in a few months might show up as a shop@home exclusive

Oh oh, here comes Kim and his Exo promos, run away, run away X-D :-P

Tks for this neat little review here Kim !! Here goes the sceptic down the drain !! looool

Those models are not great, but they are neat for the figs and parts !! And like Kim said, they mixed up the parts needed to build those *wacko*

PS: added to the directory ;-)

*yoda*

I would like to know the piece-count of these sets - and pictures of the box/bag please *sweet*

I can't find the Donald Duck Magazine here in germany anywhere - which number or a picture will be fine ;-)

hey kimt. is the promotional robot walker out too? we haven't seen any of those yet.

Nope - they didn't apply that to this release - guess they'll promote it somewhere else

I'm guessing that their lower arms and lower legs fit inside pods, with controls in it,which are attached to the arms/legs.To see what i mean, look at the Sentai HQ in a store, and look at Ha-Ya-To's glidersuit in the box-comic.
