phoinix Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 so i got the new police boat today...was pretty happy about it and all...when i got to bulding the little helicopter i found that the minigfig torso was missing!!!! *sing* *sing* this is the first time this happened to me...and then i discovered that another part was missing too! two parts in one tiny helicopter?? really ruined the new police boat for me! i filled a form at lego service on the net but they dont really support Greece or Cyprus.. wrote them an ugry email as well! well..cant really do anything else about it.... first time in 20 lego building years...... :'-( >:-( Quote
gylman Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 first time in 20 lego building years...... :'-( >:-( ...so perhaps we should cut TLC some slack? Besides, more than half the time, when a part is "missing" (not from a bought set - that's never happened to me, but from sets I got on eBay or re-opened from my collection), it's me who has missed it, under a rug, under a pillow, or under the table...It has a funny way of turning up. KimT Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 You should call LEGO direct and talk to them. They're nice and will surely send the missing torso unless it's a SW :'-( No need to flame them before they have a chance of maikng it right... KimT Quote
phoinix Posted May 2, 2006 Author Posted May 2, 2006 You should call LEGO direct and talk to them..KimT as i said lego service dosent have a phone number to call from greece or cyprus.their service dose not support this area Quote

Any star wars set they won't send you replacement parts? No, they do. I've done it before with a star wars fig, but you have to go through a lot to get it, filling out a form even! Has something to do with the license and LucasFilm being superstrick Quote
5150 Lego Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 In all the years i've been building/buying lego's, i've never had a missing part, but i have had a wrong part. In my techinc mobile crane one of the pulley wires was too long. Luckly all i had to do was wrap it around a couple times to get the lenth i needed. Quote

Has something to do with the license and LucasFilm being superstrick Hmmm...that's odd My ARC-170 was missing a couple pieces so I went to the website, filled out the form, and the replacement parts came in the mail in about a week with no hassle. In all my 29 years of buying LEGO sets, that was the first time I was short pieces. I also wrote them asking how to preserve the stickers on the Blockade Runner set once and instead of a reply email they sent me a spare sticker sheet without me even asking for it! No complaints here X-D Quote
natelite Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Okay, so after reading about everyone's experience with parts it seems only SW minifigs are restricted? Makes sense. SW MFs usually ebay for $10 or more. Apart from licensing issues, I think it is also to curb unscrupulous people from taking advantage of that service. Quote

(of the minifig in the helicopter of the police boat) thanks :-) phoinix Quote
