Gile (SRB) Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Yes, and thats one of the greatest parts of the next kingdomswave. But does he have a buckethelmet or a visored one? and is it pearlsilver or pearldarkgrey? Well i am not that much into civilian stuff. But i think the two more civilian sets give the kingdoms-line an edge, so that Kingdoms stands a bit more out from the other castle themes. The first wave seemed a bit too basic, with just the most necessary things for a castle theme covered by sets. There already enough said about the windmill/farm-set. So i comment more on that carriage: First of all, the two horses make this whole thing much more believable as already was mentioned. From what i can see, the proportions seem to be much more balanced than the last carriage/chariot we got. This finally might be a castle set/carriage that fits in whith my Castle-display (Castle Elswehr and some armies at the moment) and wont be taken apart immidiately. The pics of that blacksmith-set are pretty small on my notebook, so i wont say anything about that one. For the wave in general: Still needs more cavalry and a jousting set. (just kidding, having one or two of that new dark green barding is fine) Note that this is prelim images. He may have visored at the complete set,and he might have the bucket. On the prelim image it is visored. josykay Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) Oh wow! Thanks for the new pictures. I really like the village. There are no lion knights, but three dragon knights ow are armed with two shields, there are goats, a new pitchfork, several peasants (with new torsos?)and nice little buckets. Kings carriage seems to be very nice. There are two horses, a kings armor and sowrd, 2 dragon knights and two trees! Which regular set of the newer ages (except Medival Market Place) contains a tree? The dragon knights prison looks a bit strange, two small, thin buildings. However, there is a mounted dragon knight, three shields. All in all the set is saved by the mounted dragon knight. Last but not least the blacksmith: The second half civilian set of that theme contains a well armored dragon knight, again armored with a shield. There is again just like in the village set one of those small buckets, sveral new weapons (a doublebladed axe (every wiking would dream of it) and a short sword. I really like the printing at the blacksmith shops roof. I hope, those ornaments are etched and noch dreaded stickers). Just like a small bonus the blacksmith contains a chicken! Oh wow! Now we got cows, goats, horses, pigs and chicken! I would have liked to see a leathery apron so the blacksmith protects his chest from sparks or something like that. Maybe lego adds a brown cape like in the original blacksmith set or it will get a new torso. A very nice set. I have to get them all... but why do we have to wait half a year! I want them now! Lordofdragonss Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 The dragon knights prison looks a bit strange, two small, thin buildings. It' a gate! Great addition for Dragon fortress set. I hope wi will get a chickencoop in City sets. I want at least 10 chickens! Quote
Gryphon Ink Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 The Kingdoms stuff was already more than enough to get me going, but if you look farther in his photostream there are shots of of some of the POTC line and the much-rumored Alien Conquest theme - which looks pretty damn cool. How long will it be before TLG's dreaded brick-built bounty hunters find him and terminate him? This is a huge leak. Quote
Hartfan Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 New sets coming in 2011 ! That's a fantastic news. I love the civilian set. Can't wait to get them ! Thank You for sharing !!!!! Quote
Baylego Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Chickens! Goats! Oh my . The mill and the blacksmith set look absolutely awesome. The King's Carriage looks much beefier than it's 2008 counterpart, and it includes brickbuilt trees! Quote
Ogre Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Two trees and two different sized wheels in the carriage set. Nice. "Pitchfork" currently looks like a brown trident with the middle point cut off, or photoshopped out. Sets are looking really nice. Quote
Cutty Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Chickens! Goats! Oh my . The mill and the blacksmith set look absolutely awesome. The King's Carriage looks much beefier than it's 2008 counterpart, and it includes brickbuilt trees! +1 for the new animals and comments on both mill village and blacksmith set! Also: New battle axe! New civilian torsi! The 2008 "carriage" though was more of a chariot. This qualifies as a real carriage however! Kingdoms 2011? Awesome! Will be a hard time conceding appropriate funds to all those great new themes! Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 While all of these will sell well, the mill and the blacksmith will probably make a killing with AFOL's. Looking at the blacksmith I say it cant be more than 15$ and will probably be about 10$ and for that you get 2 new weapons, 2 chickens, and new bucket piece, a new civilian torso, a dragon knight with helm, and fantastic building supplies. I can easily see myself getting a few of these just for fantastic parts. As someone here once said this indeed may be the "best Lego year yet" Quote
Athos Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Man, Lego has hit a homerun with these sets! The mill is great. The carriage and blacksmith are very good. I can hardly wait for these sets! Steve Quote
Sir Fred Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 If you look at the UFO Abduction set, the pitchfork looks more like the old one, whereas the Mill Village Raid set has the pitchfork looking more like an Atlantis trident in brown. Not sure which one to think will be the final design but the UFO Abduction one also looks like it's a new colour. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Wow! These pictures are so tantalizingly blurry! I must say, I'm impressed with this wave! Chickens, goats, and draggy horses, oh my! The set I love the most, and I'm sure you all do to, is that fabulous mill! So many animals! So many civilians! So many Draggys! I adore the new peasant torsos! In the Mill they're all new! Also, the Draggys finally aren't outnumbered! The smaller sets are gems too! The blacksmith appears to have a new face and new two sided axe AND a chicken! The Draggy Gate has dark green barding.... Oh yeah. And that carriage is great too! I love the giant hammer in the trees! It seems the king isn't in control of his forests as entirely as he thought! Great new wave! I hope beyond hope that the theme continues. I still need to see the draggy king/queen and their castle, and a dragon, so, it can't end yet! Please!? ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
GRogall Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Well, I'm also really liking the new kingdom sets the mill will look great with the Medieval Market Village I also can't wait to see some new exclusive sets for this year! but from what I see now, I'm very impressed. Quote
Haltiamieli Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Awesome! I seem to have waken up from my dark ages just at the right moment - first Medieval Market Village and now these! There's so much stuff in the Mill Village Raid, and it's not even an exclusive set. Dragon Knights seem to be seriously competing for the title of the most evil baddies in the Lego history. Attacking peaceful civilians, without even a single valiant hero to defend the repressed? Haven't seen much of that before in official sets. Quote
Oky Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 (edited) Here are some improved versions of the pics: 6918 Blacksmith Attack 7188 Kings Carriage Ambush 7189 Village Raid These sets look pretty good. Lots of useful figs and parts in affordable-looking sets. Edited December 24, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
Stiel Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) These sets look pretty good. Lots of useful figs and parts in affordable-looking sets. Thanks for the pics! My guesses on the pricing: 6918 - looks to be $10 rather than $8. 7187 - wishful thinking says $20, that would be excellent; it's possibly a bit more, but definitely less than $30. Edit: looking at the box size again, I'd say it's the same size as 7948. Fingers crossed for $20. 7188 - this looks like $30. Comparable to the last royal carriage (7078), but also has two trees. 7189 - somewhere between $60 and $80. At $60, it would be fantastic, but it's probably closer to $80. UsernameMDM Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 OK, these sets look very promising. Love the civilian sets, more dragon knights, dragon horse barding, new peasant torsos (especially the female!), return of the pitchfork, goats & chickens. The windmill/barn set is a must with 2 copies. Glad the king torso & dragon soldier torso w/cowl print are coming in cheaper sets. What I am not excited about is the new sword & axe mold in the blacksmith set. I just don't like them. At all. Can't wait till the summer! Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Looking at these pics, I can't help but wonder whether the Dragon kingdom has the worst military training in history. First, there's three heavily armed soldiers attacking a peasant village and they're getting their megablocks kicked by the maiden and her apple-throwing powers; second, they need a heavily-armed knight to defeat a blacksmith (I can only assume the weapons in his forge are made from the helmets of several ashamed Dragon foot soldiers; and the hammer in the forest seems like a last-ditch Robin Hood tactic. Also, let us not forget that last year they sent an army of three to raid a castle replete with a force almost twice that size. On a positive note, the sets look amazing and I hope this becomes the norm for all Castle themes yet to come. Quote

I don't like your pricing, but it seems to be true.I'd love king's carriage for 20$,blacksmith for 6$ because its 10 bucks when 6$ and 15 bucks when 10$.And that dragon prison.... 15$,the box is really same as outpost attack , but the structure isn't big as it was. That's just my opinion. EDIT:Anyway,I am getting every set except the mill. EDIT 2: Nobody still saw FLICK fire missles on this picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/57393885@N03/5287024411/in/set-72157625663130848/ look at that lion knight wheel with the spears or whatever. Even the king's carriage looks awesome, it's a lot better than the last one. And i can't wait to put the mill village side by side on display with my MMV Quote
MurkyMajare Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 The two goats and chicken in that Village Attack set looks amazing. Quote

Stiel Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Please tell me the village attack set isn't going to be an exclusive... Three indicators implying that it should be a regular set: Age: 7-14, just like for King's Castle (7946). On Medieval Market Village (10193), age was just 12+. In the catalogue, it's batched together with the smaller, regular sets. More action-oriented (village attack), just like regular sets aimed at kids. MMV was intended for adults and was focused on details rather than action. Quote
ziljin Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 The Mill looks very awesome. if its cheap I could get more than one to get more peasants. This is very promising. Glad to see more civilian sets. Quote
