Commander Laquiet Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Lego chickens! I never thought this wonderful day would come! That little forge is a budget blower in terms of buying multiples. I can't see a bad piece in the whole set. And the mill looks lovely... these almost hark back to some of the classic system sets (though nothing will ever replace the classics) but have a nice modern touch. Thank you Lego! Quote
hunspatz Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 WOW! Fantastic new weapons and Animals. Quote
metalandi Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Boy, those look amazing The mill set is just lovely And am i seeing that the mill actually has a mechanisn inside? Quote
Dark Knight Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 OH! So excited about this! Save my red packet money for this! Quote
Juppy Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Am I the only one that finds the roofs in the windmill set ugly? Not a set that I REALLY like but I will get it for the sake of my medieval village. Quote
manuelexar Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Hah, neither of you are farm boys (or girls), are you? It's a weather vane... I've got one on my house too but I didn't know its name :) Quote
DJ Force Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I was thinking about skipping and forgetting about Kingdoms completely. But these sets are simply beautiful. I´m afraid I´ll get all of them and mix them with the wifes Fantasy era Castle collection... The windmill is great, the blacksmith is nice, even the kings chariot set is cool with the added trees... Not sure about that facade yet, but you never know... Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Guys. You said enough. This are the best sets for pieces ever. And I love the fact that dragon prison is small- I will buy 2 or 3 and connect them to my Dragon fortress. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Thank you very much for these pics, Lego-Freak! The king's carriage: That oversized "hammer" comming down the tree and that the carriage is open in its back are weird. Otherwise a great set packed full with action. The dragon prison: I don't care much about the gate (which is much too small that the knight with his horse can pass it). And that "attack wagon" is really weird. Plus the architecture of the prison looks really strange. But the new printed dark-green horse cover and the big dragon buttler look stunning! The blacksmith's shop: The architecture and the new torso look great. But the new weapons (I count three: battle axe, new swort and mace, am I right?) are simply amazing! Definately a must-have for every real Castle fan - and a great parts pack for different and new weaponry! The medieval farm: Which is really a shame is that it seems as if it only includes a stable without any place for the farmer and his family to live (e. g. chimney, some seats, a table). Weird is that the rooster is brick-built whereas the chicken are molded. Apart from that it's a brilliant set. The mill looks excellent. And the many new torsos and animals are simply amazing! Like the blacksmith's shop, this is really a must-have set for every real Castle fan - esp. because of the many civilian elements! Klaus-Dieter Quote
WhiteFang Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I am dead excited by this piece of Kingdom news and in fact, I could see myself buying alot of multiples of all 4. There is even a cool barding for the Green Dragons. So many new parts and prints and I can't wait for this wave to arrives in the middle of the year. This is brilliant. Thanks guys for helping to uncover this piece of awesome news! Quote
Sandy Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Absolute amazingness! Suffice to say that these sets are exactly what AFOL Castle fans have been wishing for since forever. All complaints about ugliness of roofs and smallness of gates are just insect's buzzing in my ears, since the pros of these sets far outweight the cons. Each of these sets are a must buy for me. New animals (and printed horses!), new torsos, new weapons, new bardings - a whole new direction for Castle, I must say! Weird is that the rooster is brick-built whereas the chicken are molded. The "rooster" on the roof is a metallic windfane. I'd say the "real" rooster is the dark tan one with the hen. Quote
joeygunns Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Wow! they look really cool, they look like they have the whole "classic" castle theme look (but updated) Lego are really putting out some awesome sets this year. Quote
Gregorovich Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Thank you, Lego-Freak, for sharing these excellent photos! I love the mill, as it has so many civilians and animals. The carriage is a lot better than the fantasy era one, and the other two sets are great too. Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Thanks for the pictures Lego-Freak . All the sets are great but the blacksmith is just perfect . Just look at the new weapons and tell me you dont want it . Overall this is going to be a great year for castle fans. Thanks, CB Quote
Plastic Nurak Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 It's sure that all those sets are already mine ! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 (edited) I'd say the "real" rooster is the dark tan one with the hen. I'm a bit sceptical about that, Sandy. A rooster always has long feathers at his back. Plus are the feathers of a rooster not always colorful? Klaus-Dieter Edited February 6, 2011 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
ED-209 Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Wow! *picks jaw up off the floor* I don't think the look of the buildings are as nice as the Mediaeval Market Village, but I'm really pleased to see Lego including more civilian sets! Plenty of new moulds and printed parts, return of the pitchfork, a bucket for the smith, let's just hope we see some new faces too! Hmm... I'm going to need multiples of both the farm and the smithy... Quote
Sandy Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I'm a bit sceptical about that, Sandy. A rooster always has long feathers at his back. Plus are the feathers of a rooster not always colorful? Nevertheless, the metallic rooster is still a windfane, not the father of the eggs that the hen produce. Quote
Plissken Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Wow, these sets look amazing. I love the mill set. The animals are great additions. The new weapons in the blacksmith set look also great but to me they don't fit the Lego look. Maybe this feeling will change if I have them in hand Quote
giggitygoo Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Weird is that the rooster is brick-built whereas the chicken are molded. Klaus-Dieter I think you'll find that rooster on the roof is a weather vane Quote
-JD- Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 This is great! I've always wanted LEGO chickens, and the new parts and the sets generally are excellent! Hopefully I'll have enough to buy these as well as the SW, S4, S5 and Alien Conquest sets! Quote
Plastic Nurak Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I've always wanted LEGO chickens There were the DUPLO ones . Quote
Santhor Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 These are awesome! My only complaint: the INCONSISTENCY NINJA has struck here too! *deep breaths* I really, really hate when my troops can't be consistent. Mis-matched helmets, wrong-colored legs (Castle, 2007-09), etc. Oh well. Hopefully by summer extra helmets will cost less. Yay for the new weapons! -Santhor Quote
CptMugwash Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 Wow, great pics! Definately getting that windmill, I'll put those goats to some good use on my farm... The chickens are sweet too but I didn't mind the brick built ones in the medievil village set nonetheless awesome sets. I don't collect Kingdoms but I can definately use these on my city farm. Quote
