October 19, 201014 yr Great use of the clips and handles. The shield is a good idea. Also, I love the positioning, it adds a lot to the whole picture. Great job!
October 19, 201014 yr Thats fantastic! Love the way the field switches from unploughed to ploughed What set is the old farmer chap from? Edited October 19, 201014 yr by charlieboy
October 19, 201014 yr Author Thanks for the nice comments, this was a fun build in the end. I was loosing hope of getting it to work how I wanted, but when it came together (eventually!) the constant reiterations made it all the more satisfying! Thats fantastic! Love the way the field switches from unploughed to ploughed What set is the old farmer chap from? The torso is from the Medieval Market Village, and I think the head is quite common now, probably in the Advent Calendar as it was near the top of the head box! I thought the head had a really great shouting expression, which was perfect for getting that stubborn Ox to move (my oxen have udders!).
October 19, 201014 yr Excellent plough design there 'mikey', the use of that shield is a spark of genius ! The field is nice too. Great work and keep on.......ploughing !
October 19, 201014 yr That poor peasant finally got a job! I really like how you made this plough. Great work!
October 19, 201014 yr I really love this :) It would be cool to see it done with more stages; level soil, ploughed soil, grass, small plants, large plants and plants golden ready to harvest!
October 20, 201014 yr Great plough design mikey! And even greater ploughed soil build. Very impressive!
October 24, 201014 yr Good job, I like your plough design I haven't seen too many other ploughs so this may be one of the first!
October 24, 201014 yr Author Thanks again for all the positive comments, they are all appreciated. Not quite sure why I decided I had to build a plough, but once the idea was planted, it had to be finished! That poor peasant finally got a job! I really like how you made this plough. Great work! I just realised that the torso is from the wandering beggar in the set, so yeah seems like things are looking up for him! I really love this :) It would be cool to see it done with more stages; level soil, ploughed soil, grass, small plants, large plants and plants golden ready to harvest! Thats a great idea, it would make a nice series of scenes, the same field through the four seasons. Anyway, thanks again from everyone with the nice comments, fun building and fun sharing! October 24, 201014 yr Wow, you really did a good job. The ground plays a big role in making the scene, but you made a really good looking plow. Your picture is so clear too. I'm a sucker for a good picture.
October 24, 201014 yr Looks great, I love how,as said above, you made the ground look ploughed and how the actual plow was made, keep it up!
