Derek Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Hey Everyone! As you all know, the Burrow is a fantastic set with great design and pieces. This weekend, I wanted to make an alternate build with pieces from 4840 (and also some from 4736 Freeing Dobby and a few other bits like turkey, cow, etc.) Here is the Chudley Cannon Tavern (I thought the stickered piece made a nice sign, hence the name ) Interior House elf upstairs... Owl Perch Dinner! Some little punk is trying to give the cow a branding... The loud mooing caught the attention of the barkeep... The figures Link to Flickr set and Hi-Res Brickshelf gallery (when public). Thanks for looking! -Derek Edited October 25, 2010 by Derek Images waaay too big Quote
prateek Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) I love it! It's way better than the Burrow IMO. It's much more equally proportioned The interior is not too shabby either This will look good in any town. Edited October 25, 2010 by prateek Quote
sok117 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 It looks pretty good from what I can see, but your pictures are outrageously huge!! Quote
Big Cam Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I really like the house the entire scene just screams Halloween. I have a feeling someone will complain about your image size, I'd recommend resizing them. Quote
Geertos13 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 This Mioc is great, However In my Opinion it looks too much like the burrow. However, If I didn't know the Burrow existed I would say, yeah great MOC. The size of the pictures is a problem indeed, It's cool we can see all the details, but the loading is faar too slow. Apart from that, I think It's great Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Excellent creation using 'The Burrows' parts 'Derek', but yes please resize your images. Great deatiling anyway and keep on......casting spells ! Quote
Hinckley Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Excellent work, Derek. But as others have mentioned, it would help you and everyone to learn to resize pics. Here is a handy tutorial. Quote
Siegfried Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Excellent work, Derek. But as others have mentioned, it would help you and everyone to learn to resize pics. Here is a handy tutorial. He's had 3 years to learn... Quote

Primusman Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Very nice, although I still love the original Burrow. Quote
It All Ends Here Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I really like it it's very cute!! And what an exellent idea to make this! Quote
Derek Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 He's had 3 years to learn... I sincerely apologize. I didn't realize how huge they were, but I have resized and reposted them. I don't post too many pictures, but now I know how to resize for the future. I'm sorry! And thanks for the positive feedback! -Derek Quote
Sandy Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Really nice, it actually looks like a real LEGO set the way you've built it. The Burrows is actually a fantastic set with a multitude of great pieces and magnificent minifigs and accessories. As you've proven, you can easily turn the set into a less quirky looking house that fits well in a rural or medieval village, for example. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Awesome! That kid giving the cow a branding. Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Awesome! That kid giving the cow a branding. That cow deserved it, LOL. Great work. Its another good MOC. I think of it as a dollhouse of lego. Quote
Sam Vimes Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Dang, I wish they sold this instead of the burrow, this has more potenital instead. Quote
Admiral Ron Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Very nice! I love the interior and it looks like it would blend in perfectly with Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. Keep up the great work! Quote
