What terrible news.

Honestly, Dan's work remains one of the most important contributions ever made to the AFOL community. To hear of his passing at such an early age is incredibly sad. It's a shame when somebody has worked so hard to make his or her world a better place only to leave it so early. I think it's fair to say that Dan's passing is felt by all AFOLs, whether we're bricklink regulars or not. For me Bricklink made this hobby come alive.

R.I.P. Dan. May your work and your memory continue on for many years

Thats really sad, but we must remember one of his major accomplishments in life: creating Bricklink! I don't think many other people could create something similar as well...

My condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear this sad news :(

Bricklink is a brilliant site, hope his successor will put in all the effort to keep it like that.

RIP

Rest in Peace Dan

Your creation was a gift to lots of lego fans the world over

Thank you

His was a remarkable, if brief, yet triumphant life. I'm incredibly thankful for Bricklink and the joy it has brought me over the years, and deeply saddened that one so young and full of potential has passed. I humbly pass on my condolences to his friends and family, and thank them in turn for maintaining his legacy for all of us to share.

Rest in Peace, Dan

Sad, so sad...

Rest In Peace Dan. My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends. It is truly tragic and saddening to hear that he died at such a young age, especially since he has contributed so much to our LEGO community. He will be forever remembered.

 'Tis sad news indeed, BrickLink is a wonderful site to use and extremely useful. My thoughts go out to his family.

So sad, thank you Dan, RIP.

My condolences to his family.

I just hope it wasn't Lego products.. I bet you someone will come up with a Lego conspiracy theory that claims that Chinese made Lego bricks coated with Lead Killed him...

That would be sad... ;-(

Best wishes to the family..

He was a great man.. ;-)

He died so young! That's so sad.

His site is great, I don't have an account there, but I do check it out and it's really great! I hope that it will live on for many years to come!

Thank you for inventing Bricklink.

May you rest in peace Dan.

my thoughts are with the family at this sad time. but could it not be said that Dan was if anything the true meaning of an AFOL? he did so much for his hobby aswell as many others in the same hobby as him. which is clear from all of these wonderful messages of support for his family and the beautiful eulogy. :cry_happy:

the lego world will never be the same with out you Dan, RIP :cry_sad:
