Geertos13 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) Hello and Welcome Fellow Eurobrickers. Please take a tour at one of my first creations : The House of Horace Slughorn. This set, again isn't really a MOC but a film set. Still, I see it as a MOC and wanted to share it with you :D HORACE SLUGORN'S 950 Pieces 1 Building 1 Inside Room. THE OUTSIDE Here is the outside, as can be seen in my Brickfilm. When Dumbledore and Harry go visit Horace Slughorn to convince him to come back and teach at Hogwarts. His house looks kinda creepy. As described in the book the door is broken ( Unfortunatly we can't see it well on the picture )and there are some wooden planks in front of the windows to make it look closed and deserted. You'll notice there is a skull in the left hand corner of the picture. It adds some creepiness, and who knows, maybe Professor Slughorn awaits death I always love to put some plants on my buildings. Maybe too much sometimes. I've put way to many trees and stuff in my Diagon Alley MOC. As some of you stated, lamppost would have been more appropriate. However, the dark plants give some even more darker to the whole thing. Especially on the roof and stuff, we have this, natural and wild feeling. THE INSIDE The inside has a quite simpler design. It is a one room space. However there is a little corridor behind the first wall, but these are only for brickfilming purposes. As you can see, it is a very messy place. Blood is falling down from the ceiling and chains are hanging on top of the doors. On the other hand, broken cups and dishes are lying on the floor. The fireplace is empty and icely cold The entire place reeks of death. In the left hand corner of the room an old and dirty armchair can be spotted. I made it whith tan and Dark tan, to make it look "kinda similiar" to the Horace Slughorn Minifigure. It is customed, I made it with Henry Jones Senior's body, a simple lego Light Grey hair and that strange mustache face that we can get in several sets. I think we can get a brown moustache variant in a Star Wars Set, and in the Indiana Jones set. Fortunatly, I have them both, and can alternate the young and old Slughorn, by switching from the grey to the brown mustache. Once Slughorn explained why he was hidding from the Death Eaters. Dumbledore wants to clean everything up. Once he's put on the fireplace, the room gets filled with warm light and the cleaning can begin The last Pictures is a nice little screenshot from my Brickfilm, Slughorn's face is obviously photoshopped but the effect turns out nice. You want to see Slughorn's house come to life ? And do you want to experience the amazing cleaning scene then watch my Brickfilm on Youtube or click the video below So this is it for Slughorn's house, I hope you enjoyed it GOOD POINTS : Spooky Night Lighning BAD POINTS : Now it's your task to decide, what are the good and bad things in this MOC. Speak your mind and help me improve my futher creations Thanks to you all, By Geertos Edited October 31, 2010 by Geertos13 Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 I thought that Lego house looked familiar, it was you how made that Youtube clip - my son loved it ! Excellent work I must say 'Geertos13' and keep on making those cool films too ! Quote
Primusman Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Once more, Geertos brings us an excellent moc, showcasing his true talent for moccing. This amazing creation also shows the effort he puts into his brickfilms. Many brickfilmers just make a fake background, which is just a detailed wall with nothing behind. Geertos actually takes the time to build an entire house, with a full interior, which can also be used as a standalone diorama. Excellent work, mate, and I'm a conformist!! Quote
