Athos Posted November 28, 2004 Posted November 28, 2004 Hey all, I've started work on my latest installment of the AoJT(1)(2). It will probably be slow going as it is the season for the two Xs (that's eXams and X-mas), but I hope not to go too long between updates. Historical Note: This adventure takes place prior to that documented in Johnny Thunder and the Cave or Terror. So without further ado, I present the Adventures of Johnny Thunder: Johnny Thunder and Blackheart's Gold. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg01.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg02.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg03.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg04.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg99.jpg And the whole gallery when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103976 I hope you enjoy it, Steve Footnotes: (1) That's Adventures of Johnny Thunder. Maybe I can get a LOTR, or AOTC, thing going on here. (2) This is my first attempt at using footnotes here, how did you like it? Quote
KimT Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Real nice and I like the footnotes. Can't wait for the follow up. KimT ;) Quote

ImperialJohn Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 This web site is also a great source. With great Moc's as well Quote
ApophisV Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 One question: Do you write the story first and then you shoot the pictures or is the story developing while shooting?!? Quote
Athos Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 This web site is also a great source. With great Moc's as well Actually, that is the website that I do my "fact checking" from. When I need to make sure I have one of the official character's names spelt right and things like that, I check Mr. Rasmussen Quote
Turaga Matau Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 I checked out that other Adventurers site(from ImperialJohn's post) and that one's great, too!! Thanks! ~Dylan Quote
Athos Posted December 17, 2004 Author Posted December 17, 2004 Well after eleven days, I've finally got around to doing four more scenes for you... Yes, part IV is now available for your viewing pleasure: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg13.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg14.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg15.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg16.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg99.jpg And, as usual, the whole gallery (when moderated): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103976 Hope you like it. Comments are welcome, Steve P.S. For those of you following closely, you'll notice a change in Ms. Shaw. Well I wasn't totally happy with her face. I wanted something more unique and recognizable, and having recently acquired a Deep Freeze Defender, the part of Calliope Shaw will be played by the Ice Planet Babe. Quote
Athos Posted January 6, 2005 Author Posted January 6, 2005 For those of you still following the Adventures of Johnny Thunder... After another long wait, Part V is done: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg17.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg18.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg19.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg20.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg99.jpg The whole thing (thus far), when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103976 Hope you like it, comments are welcome, Steve Quote
Athos Posted January 6, 2005 Author Posted January 6, 2005 Yes, I know it was quick, but I figured, since I went so long on the last ones, I'd do a double entry for today. Thus, Part VI is now done and ready for viewing. Hope you like it. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg21.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg22.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg23.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg24.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg99.jpg The whole thing (thus far), when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103976 Comments are welcome, hope you enjoy it, Steve P.S. Jipay Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Nice from what I red so far. Nice stages for backgrounds. Have you thought about turning the stories into a comic ? :) Quote
Vader Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 Thats a good idea, perhaps you should ask if anyone here is good at doing sketches for storyboards :) Quote
Athos Posted January 8, 2005 Author Posted January 8, 2005 Have you thought about turning the stories into a comic ? How do you mean? As in a drawn comic, like we used to see on FBTB? Or a photo-based comic? Or something totally different from either? Steve Quote
Athos Posted January 8, 2005 Author Posted January 8, 2005 I must be on a roll, but since I am hoping to have the story finished by the time school starts, I decided to up the ante a bit. So, here is a double dose of Johnny Thunder's Adventures: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg25.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg26.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg27.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg28.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg29.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg30.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg31.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg32.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg99.jpg The whole thing (thus far), when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103976 Comments are welcome, hope you enjoy it, Steve Quote

MisterMattias Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 Wow! I'm really impressed by your little adventure here! I can imagine that it took you some time to get it all together, it's not just to take a shot and add some text. It takes more than that. All the planning of the scenes, all those cool details everywhere and the great quality of the photos. I'm very interested in getting to know what happens next, and I guess I'm not the only one :) What a treat! Thanks! Quote
Athos Posted January 9, 2005 Author Posted January 9, 2005 Wow! I'm really impressed by your little adventure here! I can imagine that it took you some time to get it all together, it's not just to take a shot and add some text. It takes more than that. All the planning of the scenes, all those cool details everywhere and the great quality of the photos. Thanks for the kind words. There isn't a lot of planning really. The hardest part is trying to get the scene set up with a totally brick background, well that and trying to figure out how to get my heroes out of the situations I create for them. I had a hard time with some of both of those here. I'm glad you like it. I'm very interested in getting to know what happens next, and I guess I'm not the only one And you shouldn't have to wait long, the story in complete, and I just have to post it over the next few days. Steve Quote
Athos Posted January 9, 2005 Author Posted January 9, 2005 Well all, here is another update. I think it is Part VIII. The story in now complete, and I think it will last two more days if I post my standard four scene updates daily. I might do a double posting tomorrow so I don't have to break up the conclusion. It is actually one scene longer than the Cave of Terror story. So here you go, scenes 33-36: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg33.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg34.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg35.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg36.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg99.jpg The whole thing (thus far), when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103976 Hope you like it, Steve Quote
Athos Posted January 10, 2005 Author Posted January 10, 2005 Well here are the last scenes in the story. Hope you liked it. I'd be grateful for comments, so I can improve my work, both building and writing. Is there anything you think I did well and would like to see more of? Anything you think I did poorly and would like to see less of? Here it is: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg37.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg38.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg39.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg40.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg41.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg42.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg43.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg44.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...sGold/bhg45.jpg The whole complete story: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=103976 Steve P.S. For anyone who is wondering, I've started planning the next one... actually I'm mentally working on two, can't decide which to do first yet. Quote
