Orlego Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Lego stores that have pick a brick sections (I think all U.S. Lego stores do) will receive minifigs in the next 2 to 3 weeks. The mini figs will come in three pieces, the head, torso, and legs. There will be a bin for each with heads featuring assorted colors and expressions, torsos featuring assorted designs and colors and legs in assorted colors. Lego is testing this concept in all of it's U.S. stores in the next few weeks to see if kids will buy/like the figs. If successful, Lego will keep the figs in pick a brick for good starting in Jan. If you are outside of the U.S. (like most of you are), please check your stores in coming weeks to see if they are doing this as well. I'm sorry that I don't have more news for the Euro market, I only receive info for US stores from corporate. This is a great chance to get a ton of minifigs at a pretty cheap price. Quote
Vader Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Oh man id love to do that, hopefully it will do well in the US and then we will get to do it to. :) Quote
ApophisV Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Yes, thats sounds VERY good.... :D I'm not completely sure, but I think there were some Minifigs at the PAB at Legoland G Quote
Jipay Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 i doubt we will see the most interresting minifigs like IE stormies and clonies or any other minifig (thanks to hasbro). But maybe some egyptian could be good ! And castle figs aswell Quote

But maybe some egyptian could be good ! And castle figs aswell Yeah, I doubt there will be any SW figs. I'm thinking there will be more generic Town minifigs, however, castle and egyptian would be great. I'm personaly looking forward to it because I have a train/town display. I can't afford buying large lots on Ebay. I will let everyone know what types we get in. I will also be purchasing a few cups and will take pics as soon as I can. Quote
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Damn! II just went there Wednesday and nothing new. I won't be back within the year. Quote
Orlego Posted November 29, 2004 Author Posted November 29, 2004 Damn! II just went there Wednesday and nothing new. I won't be back within the year. That's what always happens to me. When we receive the figs I will let you know. Maybe then you can call your store to see if they have them and make a special Lego run if they do. Quote
David85 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I already made a special Lego run for the Fire sets. That was hell the day before Thanksgiving. I won't be back there unless my mom goes to see my sister for some unknown reason. Quote
KimT Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Unfortunately LEGO cannot add SW minifigs to pick a brick due to the license. They are allowed to apply small amounts of minifigs to the sets. But since Matell (or someone) has the fig license LEGO cannot sell minifgs alone. That's why they haven't made a box of 6 minifigs for the SW theme. I belive they've already tried selling minifigs in pick a brick in Denmark. I go to LEGOLAND every year and they sell the figs split in three. (This gave me a great army of cavalry and indians last year) KimT "Onwards men! Victory is at hand!" Famous last words ;) NB They usually sell minifigs that have gone out of production. - from old sets. They keep reserves for 5 years in order to supply "broken or lost" - after that they have to get rid of the remaining pieces. And this is how they do it! :) Quote
Padawan716 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Sweet. I might pass by the Glendale Galleria store friday after next. I'll see what they have. BTW, how much do the PAB cups cost? Quote
David85 Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Big cup is $13, little tiny one is $7. Quote

ApophisV Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Besides this another question: Where there anytime Battle Droid parts available at your PAB wall??? Not the heads and legs, but at least torsos and arms (in various colors maybe???) Quote
Vader Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 That would be good then all you would need to do is buy some heads from bricklink and a droid army would be yours. Quote

Orlego Posted December 1, 2004 Author Posted December 1, 2004 Mmmmmm... what I would give to pick lots of red lances, round shields and dark grey owls... *satis* Jon. It is funny that you bring that up. When we were told about minifigs in PAB we where also told that the accessories would not be included. Right now most of the customers complain about not having minifigs in PAB, soon they will just complain about the accessories. Just an endless cycle :| Quote
jonfett Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 we where also told that the accessories would not be included Sshhh!! don't tell Apo! ;) Maybe if the minifigs are popular (which I am sure they will be) they could bring in some accesories. That would be good to see. Jon. Quote
