liquidmetalrob Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) Use the colour picker tool with the desired colour. Select a group of bricks you want to change then use paint tool on that group. That doesn't work. Selecting multiple bricks and then painting them only works with colours already in the palette. Your are correct my UserPalette works only in LDD (normal) mode. I flip back to LDD from Extended all the time mostly to get colors. Also I use text editing on the LXFML file to change large numbers of parts. Thanks for the tip. It seems that the new version of the forum blocks the old attachments if the file type is not among those supported at the present time. Wait for Superkalle's answer, maybe he can provide you the file before this problem is fixed. Edited July 31, 2018 by Calabar Quote
Sjuip Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 A lot has already been said in this topic about creating reference files with all the decorations in LDD applied according to existing real-life bricks. I have recently embarked again on this tedious project. First spin-off is something that has rarely been mentioned: the existence of Minecraft decorations. Here is a file with current (BV 2248.1) Minecraft decorations applied to the proper bricks. The file contains the following bricks: 6065593, 6097003, 6097028, 6097029, 6097032, 6103044, 6103105, 6103108, 6103111, 6103114, 6103123, 6162384, 6162386, 6162390, 6162466, 6162469, 6162485, 6162507 Quote
Gnac Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Just spotted an unusual trick that isn't documented in the official help files... For a while now I've been making use of holding down the [Alt] key while dragging a selected part, to quickly make a copy of it (a bit like the clone tool). Seeing as I'd normally used this method to build walls quickly, I hadn't tried leaving the "cloned" part on the grid. Once I did, I noticed that the cloned part expected to "drop" at a half offset on the X and Y axes; in other words, a 1x1 brick cloned and dropped this way will expect to centre itself as if you dropped it onto an 87580. If you do the same thing with the recently cloned brick, it'll take another half X/Y offset and put the newest clone back "in system". I haven't really found a reason for this particular quirk, and until I find if it's possible to make it add an offset on only one axis, it's probably not a solution for mirroring precisely aligned parts. I hope I've helped! Edited April 2, 2021 by NextLevel5523 Quote
JopieK Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 Hi @NextLevel5523, I guess you use auto translation, could you remember we aren't all polyglots (I mean, I speak Dutch and English, some German and understand some French, but apart from that...). So please translate what you wanted to say in English for all of us to be able to react on. Quote
