Missing string

Missing stickers, all other parts should be present but I did build it quite quickly since last time, I was building the 76139 in LDCAD but someone finished it before me so the work was all for nothing. Still, at least theres a file at all.

Chain for cargo 'girder' won't flex but is attached at one end.

The front of the upper cab is possibly not perfectly aligned but looks fine, here it is with the two halves disconnected so you know what I mean.

Sorry but no nested building as I prefer to build without it.

Any discrepancies, reply to me.

EDIT: 11:25AM 06/02/2020 red axle 8L for the actuator gearing was not pushed in all the way, fixed now.

EDIT: Q15:55 PM 06/02/2020 licence plates should be Light bluish gray not white, fixed.

The engines are White 4868a.dat with Light Grey 4689.dat inside.

Minifig is missing his yellow vest (3840d09.dat), and his tools (Dark Grey 3837.dat and 3841.dat).

The roadsign is missing too (3351ap03.dat).

The trailer should have four square stickers with black/yellow stripes (to make corner chevrons) but I can’t find them in LDraw.  I remember they didn’t last long though

i think i don't have the yellow vest (3840d09.dat) in the library, just like those turbine fans... :S

3840d09 is in Unofficial.  But there’s the sticker 199025a.dat in Official.

The turbine fans are in Official, they are 4869.dat (typo in my previous message ).

perhaps we need to know where are these missing .dat online, and add them at /usr/share/ldraw/parts/ ? i guess it seems enough?

so we actually need to download them, they are not official yet, that's why... https://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/3840d09.dat

I’m not sure Ubuntu 19.10 has the latest Official library.  You can download it here.  Unzip it somewhere in your home directory and edit LeoCAD’s preferences to use it.

For Unofficial, you can download the whole Unofficial library here.  Unzip it in /usr/share/ldraw/parts/unofficial/ (or /home/you/somewhere/ldraw/unofficial/ if you downloaded the latest Official).

Don’t forget to get the dependencies (subparts, numbered bla_s01.dat and so on, they go in the “s” subdir) when downloading only one part from Unofficial.

You know BrickLink has got (most of) the inventories for the older sets?

For intance 6371-1.

Most of the part numbers are the same.  Otherwise, the descriptions will give you hints to find them in LDraw.

or i didn't know that, or i forgot it totally - since around 3 years ago i'm not editing lego models - and thanks! :)

a question: has anyone a good scan of the cover (like 300dpi seems more than enough - or at least, better than this: https://postimg.cc/75xW5t8d ), that we could follow the whole instruction of the last model there, from just that part? (the only that is missing inside the book)

another question: when ready, should this entry be stored in 65 ldr files with their screenshots, just one ldr and its screenshot with everything, or both?

i guess ideabooks are special cases, they were on sale alone without bricks (just like a magazine), but the models there are quite interesting (at least in my very humble opinion)

or perhaps ideabooks should be in another thread?

these .ldr files below were created from Leocad ( menu: file: import: set inventory) - now you just need to put the pieces in their correct places following the instructions! ;)
