legolijntje Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) Yes in the "legal" sense you posted the 1st proper set. At the time i didnt think to try to link it through brickshelf. I tried doing it another way and it wouldnt let me do so. With reguards to your posting of 7101 Lightsabre Duel i did find the proper hair piece and hood for Darth Maul and Qui Gon. http://www.ldraw.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Repositories has some parts that are not yet official ldraw releases but most of them work fine. If you linked it; say it, so it can be in the index . Maybe you can send it to someone, who can place it somewhere? Edited November 22, 2010 by legolijntje Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 If you linked it; say it, so it can be in the index . Maybe you can send it to someone, who can place it somewhere? Since there are relatively few sets right now, you might want to put the sets in number or alphabetical order. If you wait too long, there'll be too many sets to do that. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Yes, that's a good idea ! Great! In the long run, it'll be easier to find sets. I'm churning them out. Had a little time today to finish up another small '99 set: 7128 Speeder Bikes Errors: >Scout Trooper helmet replaced with available alternative. I couldn't decide what to put there, since the only hats with brims show the rest of the face, but in the end I decided to use one anyway, and I picked the Forestman hat since Endor is the forest moon. >30176 and 30239 plant elements were replaced with available alternatives. >Scout Troopers can't grasp the handle bars. Okay, so they could, but I'm not going to spend and hour or so playing with the angle adjustor. I'll fix it when I update after I finish all the sets. .ldr file The base and 74-Zs are grouped separately under steps. Here's a version with unofficial parts, courtesy of private_lego Edited November 24, 2010 by Brickdoctor Quote

For now, I'm only using official parts, because that way people who only have the official library can still view the models. I also plan to fix the handlebars...eventually. Quote

Brickdoctor Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Maybe you can post 2 versions in your post; one whit official parts, and the other one whit unofficial parts. I might, but I want to fix my model instead of stealing private_lego's, so for now, private_lego, why don't you 'legally' post your version? It's kinda lonely over in the Index. Quote

The idea of posting 2 versions, with or without unofficial parts, sounds good. So everybody can choose what he wants. 7128 set with unofficial parts Quote

All righty then, I'll link and credit you soon. EDIT: Done! Thanks! Here's my next model from 1999: 7130 Snowspeeder Errors: >Rebel pilot helmets replaced with available alternatives. >Rotating and moving the wings into the precise angle of the clicky hinges was driving me nuts. It might be off a little bit. >The printed 4 x 2 slope brick in the nose was replaced with an available alternative. .ldr file The P-tower and T-47 are grouped separately under steps. Brickdoctor Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Am I the only one doing this? Anyways, I finally had time to finish the next model: 7131 Anakin's Podracer Errors: >Printed pieces on the pod replaced with available alternatives. >Flex tubing not available, and left out since any alternatives would just create a huge mess that still wouldn't flex. >Anakin's face and torso prints replaced with available alternatives. >Padme's face, torso, and hair replaced with available alternatives. .ldr file Quote
legolijntje Posted December 18, 2010 Author Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) Am I the only one doing this? No, of course you're not the only one (but I think you now that). There are many people who build in ldraw, but I think they don't now there is a topic like this or they don't want to upload. I want to build in ldraw, but I have no patience for Mlcad. Last week I installed SR3D builder, that's much better. The only thing is that I have to "learn" building in SR3D. It's new for me. Maybe it has to get more attention. EB frontpage or something? Anyway, I hope there are coming more sets . Edited December 18, 2010 by legolijntje Quote

Think I'll do it like ADHO did for LDD and initially skip the UCSs and Technics, except maybe for the N-1, which is fairly small. Quote
Sergiu Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Another two models: 2556 Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Car / Model Team MPD File There are some errors with this model: Part 6069px7 was replaced with part 6069 There are no stickers available for this model 21004 Solomon Guggenheim Museum / Architecture MPD File Errors: Parts 6636px3, 6636px4 and 6636px5 replaced with part 6636. I hope there will be more people contributing to this thread, I'm sure there are more members who have sets made in MLCad or similar programs. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Nice to see someone else doing this. 7141 Naboo Fighter Errors: >Anakin's face and torso replaced with available alternatives. >Slope Brick 45 2 x 2 with Naboo pattern replaced with available alternative. >Tile 1 x 4s with Naboo pattern replaced with available alternatives. .ldr file The hangar vehicle and starfighter are grouped separately under steps. Sergiu Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 I had some free time and I managed to finish some models, so here are another 4 sets: 21002 Empire State Building / Architecture MPD File Error: Part 4162pb20 was replaced with part 4162. 10016 Tanker / Trains MPD File Error: Part 6636px2 with part 6636. 6754 Family Home / Creator L3B File (SR 3D Builder) Error: Part 60800 is missing. 5893 Offroad Power / Creator L3B File (SR 3D Builder) Error: The string for the winch is missing. This model is best to be opened in SR 3D Builder, because MLCad may give you a few errors regarding missing parts. Quote
