Masked Builder Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 So for my 1000th post I wanted to something good. So I started on a revision of my AT-RT. I've post the three other versions here, here, and here. I wanted to make 1000nd posts yesterday as it was my Birthday but I didn't quite get there. More pictures in my Brickshelf folder. As always criticism is quite welcome. Over view. Front. Shot of the backrest. Front part. Credit to Brickdoctor for the general idea. It is properly scaled to The Clone Wars version. Bonus Shot: "Grievous Attack!" Sneak Preview: Mace Windu and this will star in my next Moc. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Congratulations on becoming a Count . You've used some interesting techniques, that I might have to use sometime Great work Masked Builder. Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Fantastic AT-RT, Masked! Very accurate in size, shape, stance... super! Congratulations on becoming a Count and happy birthday! Hope you had a great day! Quote
commanderneyo Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 (edited) Spectacular Hint: Customise the clone Red to make it a red clone on a red AT-RT Edited November 6, 2010 by commanderneyo Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Epic, very clone wars-ie (if thats a word). How well does it stand up? Well done on becoming a count and hope you got lots of lego for your birthday . Thanks, CB Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 AWESOME little creation you have there COUNT 'Masked Builder', intersting way of using droid torso's as feet. Great work and may the brick be with you ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 That's a pretty good alternative approach on building the AT-RT Masked Builder, nice little techniques you did there for the legs and the tridactyl feet. Though I think it's a little bit small than what it should be. Still, good job on this one and congrats on being a Count! Quote
Darth Yogi Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Great moc. The top is awesome work although I think the legs could use a tad more work. You have inspired me to start moding my old one. Hope you had an awesome birthday, and congrats on becoming a count. Great job Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 A very nice MOC Masked Builder! I like the techniques you have used, and the colour scheme is cool. Very good job on getting the scale correct! Congrats on becoming a Count! CF Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 This one seems very familiar... Nice job on the front part; I'm not the hugest fan of the CW style, but since it's based on my design. I do agree that the legs are a bit too small, I'd like to see them get bigger and add full articulation. Keep tinkering with it; you've almost caught up to me in version numbers! Try out the slightly larger Ep.3 version, see what you can do with that. Just be prepared to need some small sand green pieces. Quote
Flare Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Very nice Masked! I really like it, it looks very realistic. Happy Birthday and congrats on Count! Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 7, 2010 Author Posted November 7, 2010 Thanks every one! It's good to know you like it. Spectacular Hint: Customise the clone Red to make it a red clone on a red AT-RT I've got a custom Commander Stone I could put on it. I'll have a picture of it soon. Epic, very clone wars-ie (if thats a word). How well does it stand up? Well done on becoming a count and hope you got lots of lego for your birthday . Thanks, CB It stands up fairly well. It takes a bit of balancing though. This one seems very familiar... Nice job on the front part; I'm not the hugest fan of the CW style, but since it's based on my design. Yeah I notice that when I posted it. I think I will. Quote
prateek Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 My 1st thought: Holy crap that's tiny My 2nd thought: Holy crap that's detailed My 3rd thought: Holy crap that's awesome Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 (edited) Maybe....But like I said it's the right scale. I'll see what I can do. Yeah I notice that when I posted it. I think I will. I'd suggest reducing the size of the front armor then. I suppose your next MOC will be the Ryloth trilogy, then? Edited November 7, 2010 by Brickdoctor Quote
General Magma Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Very nice AT-RT you've made there! The feet look familair, though. Something I've seen earlier... Also, congratulations on becoming a count. ~ General Magma Quote
Forresto Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 This is epic Masked Builder! Do you mind if I steal your excellent feet technique? In fact you should really post either basic instructions or what the different parts look like. Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 This is epic Masked Builder! Do you mind if I steal your excellent feet technique? In fact you should really post either basic instructions or what the different parts look like. Thanks. Go right ahead. Could you get me a link to what you're going to build when it's done? Also if you could give me credit for these that would be nice. I may do a breakdown shot if it's popular enough. Quote
Blackknight112 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Nice work, it really has that clone wars look and feeling Quote
