I'd like to see more Lightsaber colours (i.e. yellow) and the classic lightsaber hilt in different colours. I already got the hilt in three colours (old metallic from the first SW sets, bright grey from pick-a-brick and that new metallic look from a few SW-Magnet-Minifig-sets), but I'd love to see it in dark metall too.

EDIT: Oh, the only new hilt I'd like to see would be one for Darth Maul.

I really wouldn't care if he could hold it with both hands, one like had in LSWI would be perfect.

I have a similar thing sittig on my table right now!

It's an old trans-green spear from Alpha Team, with the point cut off. It's longer than a normal saber, and with a rounded end.

I think the lightsabers are fine as they are, personally.

That's exactly what I did, too! Except I left enough off to have a handle for the trans green spear end. It looks like a light saber dagger.

I can understand the general consensus that Lego keep lightsabers and their hilts the way they are, so as not to come off as Mega-Blucky Although I do like the idea of new *colors* for both 'sabers and hilts as Zork mentioned.

Also, I would like to thank CommanderFox for pointing me towards some resources - I do appreciate it. I don't know if/when I'll get around to customizing any lightsabers (since holiday season is here at my Lego Store), but I do hope to eventually make use of the tutorial, brickdoctor's customs, and other materials - giving credit where due, of course. Finally, I apologize for the lateness of my reply - two jobs keep me busy during the week, as you can imagine!

Here's hoping everyone gets their holiday wishlist fulfilled by loved ones.

I can make them shorter. I did actually but that one was just a functionality design to have multiple ways of holding it.

My original one didn't have the middle piece added to it. If you would like me to do a couple more designs for maul just let me know. I will try them in black. :)
