Posted November 9, 201014 yr Found this while browsing Flickr a few days ago: Packaging image Fully built To explain for those who don't "get it", Bullseye is the mascot of Target-brand stores in the US. He seems to be a US exclusive for this reason, not that countries without Target stores would have much demand for him anyway. True, Australia has Target stores, but that's a different company that doesn't use the same mascot (as far as I know). Just the same name and logo. It's very neat to see yet another retailer-specific set that actually emphasizes the retailer, but for me it's not quite as much of a draw as the Toys 'R' Us truck set. After all, that fits perfectly with the sort of building I enjoy for fun: minifig-scale versions of things I encounter in real life! Still, this guy is apparently free with the purchase of a Target gift card, so you can bet I'll be making sure to get one of these for my dad this Christmas (he's a big LEGO fan in his own right). Any thoughts on this?
November 9, 201014 yr Not That good quality, but very clever. love the target piece I'm sure a lot of people will find it very useful. Thanks for sharing this.

November 9, 201014 yr I just saw this yesterday at Target. It's a gift card. Really neat idea if you are buying a gift card from Target for an AFOL friend.
November 10, 201014 yr Looks good IMO, a fairly basic lego build but gets the job done as a Gift Card.
November 10, 201014 yr Haha, cute. Don't think I'll be getting this for anyone, but still good to know that its out there!
November 10, 201014 yr He's pretty cute. I'll probably just order the eye piece off Bricklink though.
November 10, 201014 yr What's to stop me from buying 20 of these, putting the minimum of $5 on each card, just to "farm" lego bricks? I easily spend $200 or more per month at Target. I'm not sure if I would actually do this, though. Kind of lame and embarrassing at the checkout, maybe not really worth it, etc...
November 10, 201014 yr I haven't stopped by a Target since their release. But if I am I'll buy two, a big if I can find them, just because I want the printed eyes. However @$$hole AFOLs buy all them and then sell them for $10 instead of letting everyone else stand in the joy.
November 10, 201014 yr Saw an empty display for these at Target yesterday. Talked to a guy working on the floor, to see if they hadn't been put out yet (or were just sold out). He told me someone in the stock room didn't realize what they were, and threw the entire box out. Good to see how it's packaged and how the other side looks built. (the display only shows one side of it. Oddly, they have the Target logo side pointed towards the display, so it can't been seen. )
November 12, 201014 yr ... threw the entire box out. In the garbage?!? ANYWAY... to anyone that has it, can you confirm it's a printed piece and not a sticker? Thanks.
November 12, 201014 yr ANYWAY... to anyone that has it, can you confirm it's a printed piece and not a sticker? Thanks. It's definitely a printed piece, as well as the other eye (a normal eye print). The packaging says that some parts are made in China (others in Denmark), but I'm guessing that's just the storage box with the gift card printed on it.I found four at my Target on Monday; two were outside, and I had to ask for two to be taken out of the storeroom. It's definitely an amazing deal since it's completely free (provided that you shop at Target often). I'd hurry to Target if you haven't gone there yet; my store is completely out of them now! Oh, and when opening the packaging, I recommend not peeling the plastic wrapping off from the corner, but instead using a razor to slice the part where the plastic meets the bottom edges of the gift box part. November 12, 201014 yr An interesting little set. I would get one of these, but I can't, because they don't have Targets in the UK. ~buddy~
