My newest CC style building, inspired by a recent purchase of the original Hogwart's Castle (stairs, lion heads). Tons of snotwork and a couple techniques I've never tried before. I'm super happy with how this turned out.

I wasn't really trying for any particular architectural style... this whole building is more of an experiment that ended up looking mildly Asian.

I'm happy to read your comments and constructive criticism!

Excellent MOC, Jameson42! :classic:

The building does have an oriental look to it. I like the way you have built the lampost out the front of the shop, I also like the overall look of it, it is very accurate.

Very well done.

Very nice Jameson!

I like the colourscheme, and all the different techniques.

Usually I don't like seeing studs in a SNOT-like building like this, but the studs line just above the door is a nice detail in this MOC.

Good job

The stud line above the door is mainly there because the lion heads are at an angle. It's hard to tell from the photo, but they lean forward about 30 degrees so that they take up 2 studs worth of horizontal space instead of 1 stud worth. I considered putting cheese on top of them instead, but I don't have any tan cheese yet.
