harrysnapperorgans Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 this is great - the style of Lego I love best - more detail than genuine Lego City creations, but not as parts and time intensive as the Modular scale. Your design is great, and could easily be modified into dozens of other stores. It's inspiring too, I feel like getting out the Lego! How are you doing your stickers? Quote

Thank you 'harrysnapperorgans' for your kind comments, those stickers are thanks to Goggle Images, a canon inkjet printer and good old MS paint ! Keep on MOCing ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 18, 2010 Author Posted November 18, 2010 Quick post.... I still might have to trim the red stickering......comments welcome and keep on fixing stuff ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 Update time..... I only have to make custom figures to work there, also I'm thinking of a gas bottle delivery truck too. Comments welcome and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 Here is George (no hair) and Jack - happy sales guys at BOC Gas & Gear. Comments welcome and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Great work . I love how this is turning out. I just cant take in the detail, I have looked at this at least five times and see something new every time . Cant wait for it to be done. EDIT: Just looked at the pics for a sixth time - something new again . Thanks, CB Quote
buddy Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 It looks even better now. I particularly like the custom decals used, they make it look more realistic. ~buddy~ Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 Thank you 'crabboy329' and 'buddy' for your kind words, well to tell the truth there are little changes along the way hence new photos all the time ! I might do another update but with more interior shots, plus I'm starting to design the building to go next to this and man, it's going to be as big ! Oh, yeah....my town buildings - in fact nearly all of them are going to get MOD'ed for updating purposes....you know things do change over time don't they ! Keep on watching ! Quote
mahon881 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 You have spent alot of time working on the buiding and now it is really great! You have everythingin there:employees, gas, generator, saftey suppies, hand tools, gauges. You are one of the best 3 builders i've seen on eurobricks! I do agree it was a resonable desison not to build a roof since I don't build roofs on my MOCs [but lets remember thats because I don't have enough pieces]and does help to accsess easier.Wanted to know, are you going to build a back on? "May the force be with you." Quote
jonwil Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) For some reason I cant help but think an air compressor of some sort would fit in this store. And BOC do make air compressors. Edited November 20, 2010 by jonwil Quote
prateek Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Great job! This is one of my favourites now Quote
BillytheKid Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 What I like the most, is that you can separate parts of the shop. Very easy for transports at meeting. And the using of detail is high, I'loving it. Hmmmmm, I would like a hamburger now . Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Thank yous go out to 'prateek', 'AFOL12v', 'jonwil' and 'mahon881' for your kind comments and suggestions .....yes, 'jonwil' I'm going to sticker the compressor on the council truck BOC and make one for the store....but where to put it though is a problem. And yes the gas cylinder bay does detach from the store....good old tech pins eh ? Plans will be underway for the Elders real estate/merchandise/insurance/in-fact-anything-to do-with-farming office/store/warehouse....whew that's a mouth full. Keep on farming ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2010 Author Posted November 20, 2010 Great job Thanks 'Flare' for your short but very kind comment. If I haven't said it before I will be redesigning some of my past New Mannum buildings including the hardware store and bank....still thinking about what to change about those. Keep on MOCing ! Quote
mahon881 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 But will you build a back on the shop or not [i guess not,but maybe]? "May the force be with you." Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 But will you build a back on the shop or not [i guess not,but maybe]? "May the force be with you." No, no back on it....it would defeat the purpose of being able for kids to play with it....yep, I design with simply childsplay in mind ! Back to designing shortly, so keep on watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 Ooh, Looks Nice Thank you 'Geertos13' for your kind comment. Since I have built this I though some of my earlier work needs changing, the hardware store is going back in time.... Minus the broken wall ! Keep on fixing ! Quote
Legostein Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Hello! Now that it's nearing completion, my congratulations to this successful station. It looks very authentic with a great interior giving it a high playability potential. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 Thanks 'Legostein' for your kind words , I will be planning on contacting BOC to see if they want to see it or not. Well back to redesigning the hardware store - totally ! Keep on MOCing ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 Well, as I decided to fix the hardware stores display height, so I had to adjust the BOC Gas & Gear's too ! As usual comments are very welcome and keep on welding ! Quote
exon_from_youtube Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Well, as I decided to fix the hardware stores display height, so I had to adjust the BOC Gas & Gear's too ! As usual comments are very welcome and keep on welding ! Now thats detail! Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 Now thats detail! Thanks 'exon', glad you like the detail in this creation of mine. I still have an air compressor to make for this, might take the one off the council truck and build an underchassis compressor for the council truck. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Since quite a few people have told me even in person that they like the BOC Gas & Gear, I have rebuilt it......but on one baseplate only - it's back being a W-I-P....mainly stickering and some floor work too ! Comments again welcome - updating again really soon ! Quote
