Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Best Series Yet cant wait for the release date ! Yes indeed, and lucky for us it's set for release in April which means we'll be able to get them in mid-March off of Bricklink! I got all of series 3 for $65 in early December this way so I'm about to do the same for series 4. Quote
Ro87n Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) Hello all of you, Im wondering, does anyone of you got a picture of the Kimono Girl/Geisha without the stand. Because somehow I can't find a good picture of her. She seems the only one not be on a picture without being on the stand (and low quality/tiny scale). So far I got all the picture of all series, from 1 till 4. As in group and separate. Excluding the Kimono Girl. I know they're not buyable yet at most countries. But still ALL the other pictures are there. And even more versions than just 1 (excluding the group pic). Now something different... I think both series 3 and 4 are going to be my favorites. I don't and I din't wanted to have any series complete untill I saw series 4! Wish to have them all and even don't care for some doubles (e.g. 3 Musketeers). Some realy new and unique pieces or atleast never seen having that colour and/or pattern before. And just €1,95 per minifig is a good but not great price. But still less than 2,99 in USD. As 1,95 EUR = 2,59545 USD. Not that much differents for 1 minifig, but times 16 it means alot. Edit: From the Roman/Greek topic; Now I terribly want a Caesar fig! Would be a great idea! ~ Ro87n ~ Edited January 17, 2011 by Ro87n Quote
GRogall Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Here is a nice super HR image of series 4 Warning picture is 4000+ pxl. I'm so good to you! enjoy! :classic: Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Wow thank you grogall! This really shows every detail on these, and makes me even more excited as I eagerly await them! Quote
prateek Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks bud! The radio suit guy's face looks weird, and the footballer's hair is kinda metallic Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks! Now the "radioactive" logo is clear on the falloutboy and I love the print on the skateboarders hat. Quote
Ro87n Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) Does anyone know in what colour the bags for series 4 will be, or did I just passed reading it and did not see it? I do know what series 5 could be as we all saw the purple background on that scan. But I will not be (able) to do those (yet). I need to know because I'm making an excel sheet incl. each series with there colours. I might even try to rank them and use some formula to let them 'battle'. Like if they would ever turn into a fight, deside who would win. I will base them on the star rankings they got (creativity, speed and strength) on the official Lego website. Edit: strength was skill but all 3 are skills and I ment strength. Edited January 24, 2011 by Ro87n Quote
Etzel Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Does anyone know in what colour the bags for series 4 will be, or did I just passed reading it and did not see it? They will be orange. At least according to the picture in my catalogue. Quote
Ro87n Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 They will be orange. At least according to the picture in my catalogue. Thanks for the reply. Im still working on the figs' actual damage but got some interesting stats already (maybe even weird); The Robot from the very 1st series is far most the stongest. And weakest is the Space man. From series 2 both the Vampire and Karate Master are both even strong (actually even compaired with the Robot). The Pop Star is just a little ahead of the Pharaoh which is the weakest of this serie. Now on to series 3 (to stay on-topic). The Fisherman seem somewhat weaker than the Hula Girl/Dancer but still both at the bottom of strongest. Because that titel goes to: the ELF! with in second the Baseball Player and 3rd place goes to both the Space Alien as Villan. Only from the 'strongest' of current series, it is the Robot that's slower but more creative (ofcourse). Quote

Henchmen4Hire Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I don't know what he's talking about either but it's fun to read anyway! xD Quote
Dunjohn Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 *is trying to picture a Pharaoh-Popstar wrestling match* Quote
Ro87n Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) Like I told (a few post before) I made an excel sheet. On that sheet I filled in the BIO stats/skills and used a formula to see the most strong and weakest. This could be a base for any text-based lego minifig battle game, but only for the collectable ones. It gave me the idea to do something with this, since they gave them imaginairy strenght, creativity and speed. Edit: Welcome to Lego Minifig Deathmatch. And here in the left corner I present you the pitched Pop Star. And in the right corner of the ring we will see the phenomenous potential Pharaoh fighting. They both fight till death. Who will win and who will die, oh the crowd is going crazy. Hear that noize you can clearly see and hear that the crowd is plit in half its 50 % for the Pop Star and the other half for the Pharaoh. This is excitement! This will be a great match. Okay let's begin *ding*.... Edited January 24, 2011 by Ro87n Quote
Zeya Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Ohhh I know what Ro87n is talking about here. If you go to the Lego.com site for the minifigs and browse through each bio, they show some stats for each one like strength, creativity, and speed. Here's a link: http://minifigures.lego.com/en-us/Bios/Default.aspx#Tennis%20Player They have a bio and some "skills". Hmm, I wonder if Lego is/was planning some sort of game with these things? Quote

I also gave them HP, def and (yet working on) attack, all based on those 3 stats/skills. Im wondering why they even got this, maybe to give us an idea of which on is better vs. another (when you would trade with someone)? And those skills are only on the site and not included on the instructions. Quote
BrickPerfection Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 The guy in the ABC suit is a bit untypical for Lego, it reminds me so much of nuclear disaster scenarios! Might work great for a MOC like "meltdown in a nuclear power plant". The sailor would be kind of nice for ironclads/ WWI warships. Still I get the impression that since Series 2 (Spartan!) they're getting worse. Come on, where's my Roman? Arr almost missed this one, I should be checking the forums more often! Quote
jonwil Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Still I get the impression that since Series 2 (Spartan!) they're getting worse. Come on, where's my Roman? There is a roman gladiator in Series 5 aparently. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 There is a roman gladiator in Series 5 aparently. He means a Legionaire. Apparently a lot of people want that minifig. Myself included. Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 He means a Legionaire. Apparently a lot of people want that minifig. Myself included. I agree with you 100%, there were a few figures that were wanted more than anything else; namely the elf, spartan, zombie, rocker, that people had no way of making before their introduction as CM's. I think few people care to see a standing army of vikings, and although a lot of people built froces with the spartan, that figure just doesn't look all that impressive in a group. The Legionary will totally change that; if they include helmet, shield, and some type of lance or sword there won't be enough of these to go around! Quote
Ro87n Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Anyone else did found any new pictures of that Kimono Girl? And just standing alone and w/o the stand. Because those I can find. Still looking for her, for my Lego minifig picture collection. I could also wait untill I got her myself and take a picture. Quote
Legoist Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 It seems a fine selection to me (except the garden gnome, WTF?) although too much sports perhaps. I'm probably not getting any unless some new way to identify the bags comes up, but if I do then at least 5-6 of them will be worth checking out. I don't mind the re-hash of the surfer and skateboarder themes, and I bet the second one is female too, so neither will be non-sense. Probably the surf and board are the same pieces as in series 2 and 1, but with a different colour and print. I also wonder if the mad professor will have a grey or white version of the Clown/Disco hair. Besides the concept, it's way too hard to guess how cool these will be. Some obvious new parts will be the hockey stick and the skates, and presumably some kind of mohawk for the punk. If the artist is a painter then he should have a nice hat (but could be just the same as the mime), a palette and a brush. Now that I see the picture, I have to admit that this is my favourite series so far... If the "dots code" still work for identifying these, I might try to get almost all of these. Quote
