I'm not entirely susre if the visor from the Hazmat suit is removable, though if it were, I can't say it would look too good on other minifig headgear... And that thing he's holding... I hope it can detach because that would make an EXCELLENT sci-fi weapon.

BOOOOOOOOM!

Astounding... possibly the best overall series yet. Color me utterly impressed.

And if you ask me... it certainly could be a coincidence, but so many of these seem to have emerged straight from Cop-Mike's idea thread from the summer :)

Weakest for me would be the werewolf. It looks like a mutant elf or something like that to me.

I think the viking's axe is made of two pieces. An even smaller light saber rod and the axe.

That orange hazmat guy is way cool, as is the punk rocker and the mad scientist.

Glasses head on the skateboarder fig is also cool and will be perfect for various MOCs. (such as some Ghostbusters figs) Nice to have some variety rather than just the same "Peter Parker" glasses head.

I hope TLG continues the sports theme in Series 5 and beyond. Although are there any sports they havent done yet that they would do? Golfer maybe? Basketball player?

A Cricket player would be great (but unlikely because Cricket is not well known in most parts of the world)

Female surfer isn't as good as the male one IMO.

I wish Frankeinstein would have used Woody's legs. But he is perfect as is.

And yeah, nothing can really beat the expression in the artist's face.

I do hope the transparent part of the safety suit can be used in other helmets.

Oh my a-god, this line-up is positively delicious! I have got to get my grubby paws on that werewolf! I absolutely must have the to bag the professor and his green pal! My gosh, everything is wonderfull!

Neither is figure skating or even American Football  . I think its definitely a do-able minifig. All you would really need for new pieces is a helmet, ball and a bat, the rest of the equipment would only need to be prints.

Man these news pics are making me want to buy the other series' now. :cry_sad:

Dear Lego,

Please ship enough of these so that my kids can get a few, people here are still walking in a picking up the whole box and buying every single figure. Oddly, I picked up two mimes the other day for $1.99 (sale price) when somebody returned them to the store -- guess nobody likes mimes :pir-wink:

Looking good. I'm very happy, because Series 3 looks a little lame compared to 1 and 2. I thought they were already out of good idea's. But this new series looks good overal.

The footballer looks like David Beckham. Still, I'm waiting to see a cavewomen...

Anyone want to guess what the commonality of each figure will be?

I have a bad feeling the distributions will be even more varied than S3. I'd guess the werewolf will be in 5s, the hazmat guy will be in 3s and the viking and gnome in 2s.

The Viking axe looks like its the same rod as seen for the magic wand, ray guns and barbell with the clip-on axe head (or a new variant of it)

Is it just me or does anyone else think the thing carried by the orange suit guy would make a good flamethrower? (with the string or whatever it is being connected to a tank on the back)

I doubt the cricket player would come with a ball (the tennis and baseball players did not).

Would come with a cricket bat, printed legs (with pads), printed torso, white hands (for gloves) and probably a cap of some kind (the baseball player came with a baseball cap rather than a batting helmet)

As for baseball, I think you could get away with using the hockey players mask as a baseball catchers mask :)

I saw this at brickset and they look fantastic.

Lots of my hobbies, other than LEGO, have been made into CMFs!

The musketeer, hockey player, painter and guitarist! :classic:

Can't wait for them, i think the new skates are just fantastic but I would have chosen a different body for the guitar, Les Paul probably as it is the most popular

Is there going to be cheat sheet for this series?

Thanks for the lovely pic! Wow, gotta say these are all amazing, the hockey player, the lab. scientist, the punk rock star, frankenstein, haz mat suit guy... now I really have to get back at collecting these. default_classic.gif

Oh dude. I am so going to be all over series 4, based on this. :sweet: Hazard suits!1!! (totally going to make me some Half-life MOCS when i get those!) Geishas! Punks not dead! An artist! A mad scientist! And i'm going to have to get hold of the new viking shield, the figure skater's hair and the muskateer's floppy hat. Not to mention the skates. With all that good stuff, i don't mind the new surfers and skateboarders either. :cry_happy:

2011 is going to be an epic year, i feel.

Who else is thinking that the hockey player's helmet could be used for an American Football player?

Yup it can be used that way, though I have a feeling we'll get the American football player soon in the next series, since it's quite obvious there's always at least one sports minifig in each series.

I cant see TLG doing an American football player, American football is essentially unknown outside the USA.

This is by far, one of the most amazing Collectable Minifigures Series ever. Just when I thought the designers could be running out of ideas but now, they have certainly proved me wrong.

I haven't gotten my hands onto any of the Series 3 minifigs yet and with this preview of Series 4 minifigs, I am actually feeling so excited about it. It is even more addictive than ever before. I can't find any of the minifigs that I actually don't like.

So far, my hot favourites could be the Musketeer, Punk Rocker, Viking, Artist, Hazmat Personnel, Sailor and Surfer Girl.

Thanks TLG! This has not changed my very strong commitment towards the Collectable Minifigures Series.
