CMP Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 It turns out the objects A. help you advance through the level, B. help you get minikits, and C. when you get all of them, you get a minikit. That's cool. May I also point out that they captured Jack's movements perfectly. Quote
Sisco Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Wow, this game is out? I never would've known without EB. This has probably been the least-hyped Lego game I've ever seen. Not even a commercial! Quote
CMP Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Wow, this game is out? I never would've known without EB. This has probably been the least-hyped Lego game I've ever seen. Not even a commercial! I agree. That's what happens when you release 2 games (LSWIII) so close to eachother. All your cash gets piped to one of them and not the other. The ironic part is I liked the PotC demo better, and given a choice, I'd get that one. Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Im playing it now and there are a lot of funny moments. Anyone got codes for invincibility and fast build? Quote
CF Mitch Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I've had it since Wednesday already, actually. And I love it Jack's movements still make me laugh everytime. And the cutscenes are hilarious as well. I've finished the complete story too, except for the last two chapters of Dead Man's Chest... But it's an amazing game, really. Can't wait to see who else I can unlock Regards, Mitch Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) had a bizzare glitch. My fiancée and I were playing Stranger Tides on story mode. We played Whitecap bay and we only had two characters to control. I was Jack and my fiancée was the guy with the guitar. We did not have Angelica, the strong turban guy, nor the guy with hammer. We spent so much time trying to figure out what to do. Eventually I restarted the game and sure enough we got the usual compliment of characters. Strange that we don't play as the guitar guy in story mode. Really strange glitch. Edited May 17, 2011 by Solscud007 Quote
lego king Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Have you tried the select character tool.(on wii its hold down c) Quote
Sulfurix Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Does anyone know who the character in the bottom right corner of the character selection screen is? Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Have you tried the select character tool.(on wii its hold down c) Yep. For PS3 it is the Triangle button. When you press and hold it down there are only two characters available. Jack and the guitar playing character. Quote
L_Steef Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Does anyone know how you can save the game in the Nintendo DS version? Thanks! Quote
halomaster96 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I just wanted to know if I'm the only person who refuses to play On Stranger Tides until they see the movie? I don't like spoilers . Quote
CF Mitch Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 (edited) I played it You need Blackbeard for certain items and such, so I wanted him (A) And, in my opinion, I didn't feel that spoiled at all, the main storyline is already familiar and the characters don't speak, so Regards, CF W Edited May 19, 2011 by CF WeaZZel Quote
Runamuck Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 OK, so I have completed the PC version 100% in just one week. So what are my thoughts? I haven't played any of these LEGO games since LEGO Star Wars 2, so it's rather interesting to see what has happened since then. The games it a bit glitchy at times. It has some occasional glitches that prevents you from finishing a level. In general I really like the game, and On stranger tides looks like it would be rather interesting. Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 How did you get 100%? I am playing on PS3. I am at 99.6%. I have all the ships in a bottles, red hats, true pirate, gold bricks, and compass. I am missing a few characters though and have no idea how to unlock the missing few. I even got the Gold trophy "Hoist the Colors" I also unlocked and finished "The Ride" secret level. Any ideas what im missing? Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Ok so I unlocked Dancing Jack Sparrow. You apparently need a code VDJSPW to unlock him. The blacked out circled characters to the left of him are just the custom characters. However I am still missing two "locked" characters. I read on a walkthru guide that you can unlock the bird and monkey as playable characters? However I have yet to see proof. Any thoughts as to who I am missing? I have bought all the people I came across. Quote
Miss Kyle Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Got mine for the Wii today, and it came in a cardboard box with the woodhead Jack minifig! Win Quote
Miss Kyle Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Got a pic of the box? Aw sorry man, I don't have the box anymore. It was just a cardboard wrapping a bit broader than a Wii game case, so the minifig polybag fits in. Maybe I can take a picture in the shop I bought it in. Quote
The Who Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) So I just beat the game to 100% a few minutes ago, but there is still that last guy in the bottom right, that says "locked." Anybody know who he is or how to unlock him without using a cheat code? Also, for the trophy, "The Best Pirate I've Ever Seen," where you have to complete Port Royal in story without dying: Do you also have to not have invincibility on or something? I have completed it in story twice now with invincibility on, and didn't get the trophy. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I haven't died, and I already got the "The Worst Pirate I've Ever Seen" trophy for doing it with zero studs, so the extras being turned on should not affect it. Edited June 20, 2011 by The Who Quote
DarthSion Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Finely got my hands on this, while the movies were boring the game is surprisingly fun, I like some of the new features, but I do wish they would go back to SW, this hub and roaming characters stuff sucks hard, still got one character I can not find, and I used the cheat for dancing jack. I am missing a few characters though and have no idea how to unlock the missing few. If you are missing some, try going into a bar/pub and standing at the door, the locked ones you can buy will usually walk through eventually, and buy them there. Ok so I unlocked Dancing Jack Sparrow. You apparently need a code VDJSPW to unlock him. The blacked out circled characters to the left of him are just the custom characters. Any thoughts as to who I am missing? I have bought all the people I came across. Surely there's a way to get him without the code? But you can control the bird by giving him food and the monkey by giving him a banana, you cannot be the animals. Only the dog. Who are the locked ones beside on the main chart? I could help you with that, I have everything except the Dancing Jack in the bottom right. Finely got my hands on this, while the movies were boring the game is surprisingly fun, I like some of the new features, but I do wish they would go back to SW, this hub and roaming characters stuff sucks hard, still got one character I can not find, and I used the cheat for dancing jack. I like this massive hub, but roaming makes it hard to find characters indeed. Plus when you try to buy them they try to run away. -_- Who can you not find? Quote
DarthSion Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Im not sure who I can't find, I will have to get a list of who is in and cross them off I guess, but I have given up for now, playing SW3. Quote
The Who Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Who are they beside? (to the left or right of on main chart) Whenever you feel like playing it, I can tell you who they are if you know who they are beside. Quote
RyanF1 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 My friend has that and we love the level where you have to rock the ship, (always leave 1 person under decks and then go on the chain, so fun!) Quote
