Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 19, 2010 Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 19, 2010 Have any of you Star Trek fans already noticed the new elf headgear with the pointy ears is just perfect for making Vulcans? I do know that Vulcans have black hair unless the older ones (those are grey which is close to tan), so this hearpiece mold would fit well for an older Vulcan. Legostein Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Hello! Indeed, I haven't noticed that yet. I find it difficult to follow all themes with all their new pieces. The more I appreciate that you get such hints and reminders everywhere here. Thank you. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
smittyfan Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 AWESOME!!!! i so need to get that one!! maybe there's hope for making a LEGO Spock after all!!! Quote
Fugazi Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 As if we needed another good reason to buy the Elf minifig! Thanks for the heads up! Quote

SpiderSpaceman Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) ya, know, now that i think about it, the face itself has a certain Vulcan resemblance... maybe it was meant as a subliminal way to integrate Star Trek into LEGO's, without having to buy the rights, or mess with legal procedures... no it needs a raised eyebrow. I know what you mean though: dracula hair, racer x body, world racer head, and persia claws make a sweet wolverine - a multipart, hidden minifig. What I want really bad is a headpiece, like frankenstien's - but Klingon. Also I would have used the phrase "first contact" in the title - but then again I'm not root admin Edited November 20, 2010 by SpiderSpaceman Quote
Baylego Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 This would be a great use! I am wanting to keep most of my elf minifigs together, but I might have to try it! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Yup, that's one of the perfect use of the elf headgear, with just a bit of customization (black paint, custom face and torso decal) and Voila! You got the Vulcans. Quote
jonwil Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I wasn't gonna get the Elf but now that I read this, I will have to get at least 1, maybe 2 just so I can use it (unmodified since I dont modify LEGO) for some Vulcan ideas... Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Excellent find and idea at the same time , though he looks more like Spock's father Sarek. And no I'm not a trekie ! Keep on beaming me up Scotty ! Quote
Endigo Vandane Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Actually, I mentioned it here about nine days ago. Nice to see I'm not the only one who noticed. Quote

Holodoc Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Now make them flesh! They are licensed after all... Quote
