Joris Blok Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Hello everybody! Here are my two entries for the BCN LEGO Christmas contest. We were only allowed to use 20 bricks max. Here's my first entry for the BCN christmas contest. It contains 20 pieces. Christmas is about loving and caring. The people I really respect, are the ones who care about others on christmas-day. For example this volonteer who gives soup to the poor ones, who don't have any money to celebrate christmas at all. I think this reflects the meaning of christmas very well, doesn't it? The background is inspired by Powerpig. Here's my second entry. The limit of bricks is 20, so I used 20 bricks. Thanks for the help with the background, Chris! Wish me luck Merry christmas everyone! :-) Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 These are really nice entries, I love the use of the train wheel as a soup bowl I'm sure that soups going to get could just sitting in the snow Good luck in the contest. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I agree those are really very good entries! You really did a very good job maximizing the limited piece count and coming up with effctive entries that convey classic Christmas scenes. I like the simplicity of the snowball kid entry, and of course the nobility of the soup-giving scene. Great job and good luck in the contest Joris! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 - I love these. If only they where sets I would buy loads of them. Good luck in the contest . The great photography really makes this for me. Thanks, CB Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 The first creation is a very nice and give you a warm feeling, the second is cute, a child at play in a snow fort of his own making - good luck 'Joris Blok' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Legostein Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Hello! The little snowball set is really cute. It looks indeed like one of those small accessory sets. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Rick Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 These are really great. I really like the idea for the first entry and the way you constructed the homeless. The second one can go straight into production as a winter promoset. Quote

buddy Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Great entries, Joris Blok! I especially like the use of train wheels as soup bowls. I also like the photos, the photo editing is done particularly well. If these were sets I too would buy them. Very well done. ~buddy~ Quote
