Kikuichimonji Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Um...this just can't be legal, really. Nice for the train builders though :-) Quote

Nice for the train builders though :-) when i clicked on the link, i found that it's from the lego site... so sure, it's gotta be legal ;-) How strange, I thought Lego had an agreement with Peeron which allowed Peeron to release instructions 2 years after the set had been reeleased, and now they're releasing instructions for sets that have just been released? Doesn't seem to make sense to me... Quote
alex54 Posted May 14, 2006 Author Posted May 14, 2006 I think is legal because they came from the LEGO website. I found the blue truck more and more beautifull! I wouldn't think to use the piece of the trap door floor like that for the roof of the crane. Good way to use! I can't wait to see it in my very new local toy store (a new king jouet at 6 min of my house will open this satruday :-D ) Quote
snefroe Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 the original links work as well. maybe there's something wrong with your connections? Quote

Doesn't seem to make sense to me... No, no agreement; it was simply the webmasters own rule in order to avoid hurting Lego sales. It was 3 years, because Lego had a classical 3 year product cycle (ie: sets would be available for 3 years). But now Lego has abandoned it and does 1 (or less!) year product cycles. Anyways, as others have probably already pointed out, Lego now keeps new instructions online in PDF format, so they can tell people to download them if they are ripped/lost/whatever. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 What is this? Daily update or something? How about a link to a main page where you can choose yourself which set you want to see the instructions of? Quote
snefroe Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 101707474 7471 4512 4511 i'm also not really sure what you're doing, but next time, edit your last post and add the links there. Quote
alex54 Posted May 19, 2006 Author Posted May 19, 2006 Sorry legomilk, but this topic would just speak about the news train sets or also city ones... Quote
Jipay Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 What the hell is this spamming fest about legomilk ? Anyway, I'm not sure about instructions hurting sales. After all, it would be logical for TLC to release the necessary parts packs for the buildings at the best price possible, right ? (seing some SW stuff, I highly doubt that, but it's just another debate). So then the instructions are just becoming a suggestion of what you can do with the bricks, and are therefor not so important. Quote
