lightningtiger Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 It's being hot today in Adelaide so I have just being making adjustments to the Menswear store..... I'm still missing that arch piece - I hope Toy Corner can get me one. Comments welcome and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
CriticalBrick Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I'm still missing that arch piece - I hope Toy Corner can get me one. Aye, they'll have it in I won't be stopping there for quite a while though, saving up for a trip back to England, will get twice as much for half the price Maybe then will my town look half as decent as yours CB Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Looking good lightningtiger I really like the snotted curved window BTW Ashes were great did you see any off it Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Great job lightningtiger . The curve on the frontof the Menswear store is superb. Thanks, CB Edited December 3, 2010 by crabboy329 Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Thanks 'CB', 'Darth Jar Jar' and 'CriticalBrick' for your kind words. Now I have made a little boo-boo and error, I could use another curved window piece (I do have a few) and sticker signage to make it non-see-thru and also I discovered a height problem the exterior walls etc., are not high enough to hide the interior - of course that does depend on the viewing angle. Updates again tomorrow and well, keep on watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 4, 2010 Author Posted December 4, 2010 I still have some work on this but I can show you all the latest....... More later.....keep those comments comming ! Quote

buddy Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I like the latest update, particularly the fact that the corner is rounded. Well done. ~buddy~ Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 4, 2010 Author Posted December 4, 2010 Thanks 'buddy' and 'exon' for your kind words , actually you are seeing double there is an arch piece there the curved window followed above it by the same, but the sticker signage covers the entire window. More later so keep on watching ! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Again a stunning model lightningtiger . I like how the sign is so big. But I think the cream looks out of place alongside the white building. Keep it up . Thanks, CB Quote

But I think the cream looks out of place alongside the white building. Keep it up . Thanks, CB Thanks for the reply 'CB', the cream in the signwriting is part of the logo and just about all their stores have the same kind of signage. Tommorrow - I will be working on the stockroom and toy areas and hopefully build another old art deco style building for the post office and the present post office changed into a chemist. Keep on watching ! Quote

Then a train platform.....even if the real town of Mannum doesn't have a train running to it and then the river and that surprise ! Me going to be busy eh ? Keep on watching ! Quote

exon_from_youtube Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Ah, but you can try Bricklink. Anyway, I still searching for more building designs so updates will be tomorrow. I'm still thinking should I do a chemist or a takeaway shop between the hardware store and bank.......any suggestions ? Keep on watching ! here is a great idea.... someplace for a casino..... That would be bad to the bone... A biker shop would be cool... but with the older bikes from the 1980's.... small enuff that you could fit a good 8 to 10 in the front window to make it look real busy Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 7, 2010 Author Posted December 7, 2010 Well, 'exon'(thanks, for the suggestion too) and everyone else, it will be a chemist, picked up some of the right colour parts today for a Chemmart chemist. Also I'm about to post on it's own my new post office.....only stickering and two floor tiles are needed so check it out if you like. Of course said building will be featured here along with all the others.....once the chemist and road/pavements are done to show off one full street. Keep on watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 G'day everyone, just quickly the main street is finished, just some tiling and greenery to be done....on top of that only the roadhouse, Elders office and hotel need to be started. My wife will give the camera back to me tomorrow so fresh pictures then.....so till then I'm a conformist! ! Quote
