It may sound mad but I'm planning big changes to what I have already built and has a clue......

What does everyone think should I change my hardware store into both a hardware and electrical store ?

Well, I though I could get some opinions on if I should rebuild the Mitre 10 - increasing it's width to take an appliance retailer selling toasters, coffee makers and TV's.

Sorry about the same picture but it was the best I could find.

Feedback please, as I'm going to Toy Corner today to buy parts for these changes if I decide to make them.....oh, by the way I have scraped the carpet store (don't have the right parts in enough blue  ).

I would say keep Miter 10 as is and start a Retravision store maybe? At least most of it would be white and use some red highlights to mix it up abit... :shrug_oh_well:

Bad news 'TanTile', I just recharged my internet and well....a picture speaks a thousand words.....

A bit late to go back now, but I prefer my new version - it has that real early 20th century look to it !

Stickers are next and then some electrical appliances to go in the window display.....plus completing the gate set up on the right that will still butt on to the side of the tyre dealership.

Comments welcome, suggestions welcome - keep on watching everyone !

Any suggestions for appliances I could brick-build.....apart from coffee makers, I'll make one of those....though there are that many in Lego sets makes me thing that all Lego designers are coffee junkies !

The hardware store side is finished and only the electrical side to be started, so suggest away !

Well, little....in fact no feedback in over a day from not one member, I might just fix up the tyre place, arrange the roadhouse's road plates and then give up. :sadnew: This is costing me a lot of money and the enjoyment I get from my designing and creating is dampened by silence. My latest redesign I very happy with, Federation style on top....it just came together while I was part buying at Toy Corner, just seems that no one at the moment can say good or bad about it or any of the future plans or ideas I have for this never ending creation.

I LOVE what you are doing with your town, you have a great talent for building realistic-looking small-town Australia shops and buildings.

Your Ford dealer is almost perfect (other than the fact that its a Ford dealer and not a Holden dealer :P ) and your other creations are just as good.

Thanks 'jonwil' I'm grateful for your comments, thank you again.

I'm planning a washing machine and fridge to just sit on the floor of the store, that window display will have a computer and some small appliances.

These will be started tomorrow, comments and suggestions are still very welcome.

Appliances are next.....how does it look ?

Sorry LT been up the farm this weekend... I like it alot, They look great side by side Big  a verander that long may need some posts.. some 1x1 round plates and 1x1 round bricks stacked to look like turned post's

I wonder how hard it would be to try that bull nose veranda you have pictured there?

EDIT: white goods ideas... A Blender, Microwave, splitcycle air con, flate screen TV, 5.1/7.1 surrond sound system

Thanks 'TT' for your kind words and even better suggestions.....a blender....yes, posts for the veranda, I did those once for many of my buildings but dropped them....since my town is mobile, setting up and packing up those posts got in the way. Though for this structure I might reconsider just this once, I'll look into it tomorrow.

Keep watching everyone.....more to come ! :classic:

Hi LightningTiger. I am just a lurker around these parts at present (always looking for ideas as I build my first MOC, my own house), but I just wanted to de-lurk to let you know that there are some of us who really appreciate all your builds, and particularly the enthusiasm with which you are always prepared to offer feedback to other builders. I feel a bit bad when you don't get the same level of feedback that you give.

To the topic of appliances. I've just done my kitchen in my MOC, and put in a coffee machine, toaster (2x1 textured brick with grille plate on top), and blender (1x1 black plate, with 1x1 black round plate then transparent cup on top - with inverted black 1x1 round plate on top of that).

Regards

Lee
