Winter Village: Dentistry

Dr. Grant Smiles, D.D.S. has come to the Winter Village to set up his practice. Between the various candy shops and bakeries, he's gonna be rich!

Here a mother drags her child to the office for an appointment as a worker finishes installing lights for the giant toothbrush sign.

Exam Room- "This might pinch a teeny bit," Dr. Smiles says. I don't think the patient believes him.

Waiting Room- the dental assistant sits working at her desk as a man with a terrible toothache waits his turn.

Interior Overhead- Here you can get a good idea of the layout without the roof on.

This is a really nice entry Cornelius, just a brilliant 'business' idea taking advantage of the recent proliferation of candy shops in the Winter Village. I like the Christmasy decorations outside, and the interior details are spot-on for a dentistry. The facial expresions of the clients are also perfect for their ordeals. Great job and best of luck in the contest!

I would have gone a Steve Martin dentist character instead......to be a dentist !

Thanks for all the positive comments, everyone.

The giant toothbrush is something that once I thought of it I had to include it. It sort of dominated the roof design after that. As for the minifigs, I felt that it was important that each of them had a role rather than just throw a bunch into the MOC. I hope I accomplished that.

Nice one, I like both the fact that the building isn't white, and that you've got a rectangular building (which we don't see much of these days). The interior's also very good.

Great entry, CorneliusMurdock! I particularly like the idea behind it. But best of all are the minifigs facial expressions, they are all perfect for what they are doing.

Also, I like the choice of colors for the exterior- they looks really nice together!

Wow! It has such a nice simple design to it, but works so perfectly. As was mentioned, it doesn't have that all-white sterile look to it which makes it feel much more like it would fit into a Christmas village.

The dentist looks like he was pulled out of a soap opera and should be saying, "I'm not a doctor, but I do play one on television."
