I think it fits in the same timeline as the adventure serials that Indy and Adventurers drew from, so between WWI and WWII.

I like the theme but the sets are not great IMO. I only really like the set with the bi-plane but that's it. Well, it's probaly just me because i'm a city person IF I had space and money I would buy them, just because they look like the ones from my childhood

well, the them eis called "pharoh's quest" so that actually is limiting it already. i doubt there will be other sub-themes.

I'd say probably WWI-ish...I think bi-planes were pretty much obselete by WWII.

Still had some, like the Fairy Swordfish, kicking around.

The characters can be reused in a new environment with new gear and outfits. A new team with a link to the first can be having a "quest" of their own. Multiple themes could all be linked by the Quest name, after all, it works for Castle.

It is simple enough to create a new theme, just before this was announced, I was considering creating my own Adventurers subtheme based on an arctic adventure story I wrote for an exam once.

So, I find it rather amazing how much more I can like a set 'in person', even if I kind of DIDN'T like it in pics.

Snagged 7305 and 7306 and I have to say, I REALLY LIKE both of them!

Sure 7305 doesn't have much TO IT but, that scarab is quite cool! (and this coming from a guy who generally HATES the brick-built 'creatures' that have come in LEGO sets) Yeah, it costs a bit more than your typical 'impulse' set and that's just due to a giant bug, but still...

I already LIKED 7306. Now, I LOVE IT! The mummies are cool enough but, those khopesh swords and scarab shields are TO...DIE...FOR! And the motorcycle? Trust me, it's even better than it looks in the pics. Heck, even that stupid little scenery bit is wicked-cool, simply as a 'parts pack'. Far better than I initially thought it was.

I'm REALLY diggin' this theme. Moreso than just about any theme I can think of from recent memory. Sure, there have been tons of wicked SETS in many pre-existing themes lately but, aside from Prince of Persia, no other theme has knocked my socks off like this one and I like this one even MORE than PoP!

And for the record: I TOTALLY think that 7306 is worth getting several of. The mummies for army building; the motorcycle you just NEED a few of; the mechanic's torso just SCREAMS 'town/city character' (heck, he'd look great fixing his bike outside my 'Town Plan' garage!) and like I said, the little 'staff holder' scenery piece is a great little parts pack.

They were also available the day after Thanksgiving (last Friday) at the LEGO Store in Rockefeller Center, NYC. Also present were many of the City police sets and the Angler Attack set from the Atlantis theme. To keep on topic, they also had the magnet sets and keychains for Pharaoh's Quest.

Perhaps they have an issue with calling them 'undead'? LOL

Why they wouldn't just leave it at "Pharaoh's Quest Battle Pack" or "...Mummy Battle Pack" is beyond me. The former makes more sense, IMO...unless they'll also be releasing an Anubis Warrior Battle Pack!!!

But, it DOES make you wonder. Why have such a specific name, if not to differentiate from another battle pack? "Pirates" didn't have such a specific name (not that it was much of a battle pack, anyway) and there was just the one.

I'll buy a number of the mummy sets, but I would buy tons of an Anubis Warrior battle pack.

I'm not surprised they're staying with the $14.99 price from previous battle packs, but this one is so sparse with what is included, that I would consider it a rip-off even at $9.99. Actually, it's more cost efficient just to buy the $9.99 Staff Guardians and $19.99 bi-plane sets to get the same type of figures plus so much more for only double the $14.99 price.

There is also a coffin and snake patterned mummie.

Hope there will be cobra,cat,croc and scorpion warriors.It will be also nice to have pharaoh's ship and queen's temple.
