Can I be reminded what time of day and day of the week it is? We heard someone moving upstairs, would there be government workers in the building today?

When we heard the footsteps, could we determine which direction they were heading (towards the interior or towards the front door)?

I'd like to take the jail cell keys, open the cells, and check inside them. I'd like to look on the walls of the cells, incase of ingrained messages.

"After an investigation, we determined that she fell off of the building due to clumsiness." Phelps reports.

She had troubles with her balance, which I found charming. :cry_sad:

I'm more concerned about the armory. Now, who would have the key to that door? Chief Phelps, perhaps you would know?

I would like to make sure that the door to the armory is locked.

Agreed if anyone gets in there then there could be chaos.

I also want to go to the armory and check it is locked.

It is a Tuesday, at approximately noon. Most of the Government Workers ran off out of town, you'd be the only ones remaining.

"Sounded like they were going upstairs to me." The Congressman said.

Chief Phelps has locked the jail cell key drawer again.

The door to the Armory is shut tight.

"I believe the key to the armory is upstairs, but I wouldn't let people in either way." Phelps says.

I would like to GENTLY tip over the desk and see if there is something hidden under it

Gloria GENTLY tips over the desk, knocking everything to the ground. After creating a big mess, it would appear only chewing gum is under the desk.

Agreed if anyone gets in there then there could be chaos.

I also want to go to the armory and check it is locked.

Dr.Lloyd tries the door to the armory. It is still shut tight.

Oops, sorry about the mess Chief. Does anyone want to head upstairs, it appears there is nothing of interest here. but first...

I would like to move each of the file cabinets (not tipping them over  ) to see if anything important fell behind them

Hmm... The key to the armory is upstairs, and we just heard footsteps going upstairs. :hmpf_bad:

Maybe we can move on now that we've seen every thing there was to see in the basement?

I would like to see if anyone is missing from the group, so we can know if any one of us is sneaking up above us.

Charming. I'm glad I've given you all permission to search my house , but we're not allowed supervised access to the armoury? Great!

Since their homes were circled on the map I would like to know if any of the Jeffersons or the Simmons' have criminal or subversive pasts. I would also like to know when the current Mrs. Jefferson arrived in town. I would also like to know which building the first Mrs. Jefferson fell from. I'm fine with proceeding upstairs when everyone is ready.

It was a freak accident! Who would want to murder my mother?! I miss her so much default_cry4.gif

I would like to ask the Chief to open the key drawer

I refuse to believe that was an accident. Fights back tears. Yes I miss her- we all do. But something like that just doesn't happen by accident. Why doesn't anyone beleive me? Personally, these recent events only prove my suspicons.

Now, I remember reading in some old spy novels at school about false walls. I would like to go around tapping on all the walls to se eif they are false walls

Give it a break, sis- you've done your stupid thing based on little evidence, now it's my turn default_laugh_new.gif .

Yes, checking the group periodically is a good idea. Hopefully that's not one of us walking around up there.

And sorry, but I'm sure that you understand that we can't have all the townfolk snooping in the armory. It wouldn't be so great if guns suddenly got into the hands of the communists.

Can I and my fellow officers go into the armory?

I met Dolores in a bar four years ago, fairly sure when she was new in town. I can also assure you none of my family would anything to help the commies, or associate with criminals.

I too am comfortable with heading upstairs now.

Why ya cheecky little ...!

Gloria peers behind the file cabinet, but there's nothing behind there.

Alan Simmons recommends moving on.

I would like to see if anyone is missing from the group, so we can know if any one of us is sneaking up above us.

Everyone is present, however, the Congressman is moving slowly to the door...

Both the Jefferson's and Alan Simmons' have no criminal records. Patrick answered about Mrs. Jefferson arriving to town, and the deceased Mrs. Jefferson fell off of the Alabatha Department Store.

I would like to go around tapping on all the walls to se eif they are false walls

Stevie makes an idiot out of himself hitting on the walls. They aren't false walls.

Can I and my fellow officers go into the armory?

Sure. Just get the key.

Before I go and make an megablocks of myself, when was town hall built?

I'm OK with going upstairs if everyone is done down here.

The Town Hall was built when the town was founded in 1893. Since then, it has gone under several renovations.

What the hell do you think you're doing? You're acting very suspicious, Congressman, keep it up and you won't be leaving this room at all. You may be in charge of your political organization, but we have ourselves a red scare here, and in the interest of preventing communism, I will lock you up.

I'd like to make sure the Congressman doesn't leave the group.

Sure. Just get the key.

Uh, well, as Chief of Police, I should have it somewhere around here *searches person for key* .... well if not, I'd like to try any keys we have as a group (or ask those who found one to try them).

I think the department store would be a good place to visit next.

I wonder if the red circles on the map were targets; my husband has a history in politics, so that would be a reason.

I would like to know how long ago the first Mrs. Jefferson died.

Five years ago.

I'd like to make sure the Congressman doesn't leave the group.

Chief Phelps keeps a good eye on the Congressman.

"Errr...look over there!" The Congressman says.

While everyone else is distracted, he rushes up the stairs.

Would you like to split up? If half the group splits up, you could cover more ground.

I look, but can't see anything

Where congressma- what the? He ditched!

I would like to chase the Conrgessman up there stairs, grabbing a crowbar on the way up

Stevie rushes after the Congressman, but his wet clothes slow him down. Stevie is also unable to conjure up a crowbar out of thin air.
