Are you okay, Mr Simmons? I know from experience that head injuries hurt real bad. This one time my buddy Earl and I were throwing around the baseball in the park after work and... well I'll tell you about it later.

I say we move these boxes downstairs and lock them in a cell for safekeeping.

Did we make out any distinguishing features of the figure?

Definitely, we can't let him get away like that! But someone should bring back inside the Town Hall those boxes the thief left behind, and keep them in a safe place. Perhaps lock them in one of the jails?

Well, we should probably chase after him. And keep the congressman here, too, it seems like he is aligned with this criminal.

And why did the criminal continue in here, wouldn't he have heard us and ran off? What an idiot. Communists these days...

Or maybe he's leading us to a trap. In any case, I'd like to look at the record papers that the thief dropped.

I would like to ask someone to guard the Congressman, then run upstairs and hit the guy stealing records in the head with the lamp

The group of townsfolk leave the jails as a whole.

The figure was wearing a black hat, but that's all you gathered.

I'd like to look at the record papers that the thief dropped.

Chief Phelps looks at the papers. They're records on town purchases, birth records, death records, and copies of other important papers. There's also a folder on top of the box from the United States Government, for Congressman Bob.

"I believe we should let him out." Investigator Liebenston says. "The Congressmen are checked monthly for irregularities, and Congressman Bob wasn't even on the register."

"Shall we continue investigating Town Hall?" Mayor Bradford asks.

"Absolutely not! We should continue on to find the communist at the Department Store!" Ralph says.

"Why don't we split ourselves up?" Investigator Liebenston suggests.

Before Chapter Two concludes, I'd like everyone to organize themselves into two groups. One group will investigate the Department Store, and the other group will investigate the rest of the Town Hall. Nine people per group, please.

I think it best for the Jefferson family to stick together, so I'll go to the department store too.

I'd like to open the folder and read its contents.

I'll uh, stay here at the town hall so I can open up the armory.

I'll stay with the mayor, whichever group he chooses to go with.

I also think the Chief of Police should stay in the Town Hall so we can unlock the armoury. I meant to mention this earlier, but I think once the armoury's open, we should compare the weapons inside to the weapons we've found.

Another thing, I think some police officers should go to the group heading to the Department Store group. That's the direction our mysterious stranger fled to, and especially in times like this the law must be upheld, so we'll need officers to arrest him.

Ah, I'm glad the Chief has decided to stay. Great minds think alike, it seems.

I think we need to watch the mayor more closely now. He was alone with the congressman far too long. No offense, Mayor. How are we going to decide how to split up? I think there should be representatives of the police in both parties since they are the only ones who we know should be armed. I'll go with whichever group wants me.

I'm wondering what I did except to get kidnapped to arouse your suspicions. :sadnew:

At any rate, I would like to stay at Town Hall. I think I can be more of a help here.

Well at the time the congressman was acting a tad suspicious and you had been alone with him for a while so... I said no offense.

I will stay at the Town Hall. I know my way around here fairly well and would be more help. I would like to request I have at least one armed policeman with my group. There may be more inside or someone could come in through the door.

I would like to join the group going to the Department Store.

When we catch this guy I will let him know that you don't thump a Simmons head unpunished!

Stevie Jefferson is automatically added to the Department Store Group.

I'd like to open the folder and read its contents.

Chief Phelps opens the folder. There are a few papers explaining contingency plans for Alabatha in the chance they can't catch the communists.

I have a gun, right?

All Police Officers have a gun.

Chief Phelps is armed.

You gave them to me, remember? I hold the knife, rifle, and suppressed pistol (as well as my usual pistol), and you have the ammo from the suitcase.

Yeah I remember now.

I would like to know if I have a flashlight also.
