After 2 episodes I saw on youtube I must says I love this series already! It's just mix every Transformers universe (G1, Animated, Bayformers and Beastwars). Great humor ( There is no talking about robot Fight Club).

Only thing I don'd like are the faces of transformers, and genius baby-kid again ;/.

lame Japanese kiddy dragon ball hentai stuff.

I don't care much about Transformers, but this sentence quite clearly tells me you don't know much about Japanese animation. And I'm not trying to defend it or anything-- I'm just bugged by your terminology. You might want to look up the word "hentai" on Wikipedia, and your mistake should quickly become apparent.

The word for Japanese animation is "anime", which is really just the word "animation" transliterated and shortened. I'm not a big fan of anime, though I was into Pokemon and all that during my childhood (and of course the show Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is visually based on anime, is a work of art).

not sold on the looks, seems like that lame Japanese kiddy dragon ball hentai stuff.

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Anyway, it looks nothing like anime. For one, it's computer-animated. If anything, the design more closely resembles Transformers: Animated two years back, which also had long faces and mouths. Everything else looks good, except that the faces just look ridiculous.

A new transformers is due to start, sounds interesting, but not sold on the looks, seems like that lame Japanese kiddy dragon ball hentai stuff.

Oh, didn't you know that Transformers is from Japan?

I guess I might catch it, I haven't really watched since Armada when they played it on saturday mornings. I moved onto more intellectualy mature giant robot series. I miss the fun shiny sometimes.

I know its Japanese, not all Japanese stuff likes like that dragon ball rubbish.

The following post is should NOT be read by ANYONE, especially you sensitive types.

cons

The animation is rubbish, optimus looks pretty much like he does in bays movies, minus the flames, what is with those chicken legs.

Its been a while since I watched it, but didn't bee actually have a voice in g1.

In this he is just as bad as bays, same ugly look, same stupid bug eyes, same car, same beeps, only difference is black strips and a blower?.

Zombiebots, wow seriously how low can you go.

Megatron looks pretty much same as he did in bays movies.

Cliff jumper (the rock) with cow horns on the front looked stupid.

Ratchet = Anakin.

Pros, well it has the same names from g1, makes about as much sense as g1 did, and g1 optimus voice.

If you were hoping for something as good as beast wars forget it, more like bays garbage, even worse than beast machines.

Why is hasbro smart enough to do another war for cybertron, but not smart enough to give us a TV show as good as it

Basically if your a gen1 fan, your out of luck, if you like bays rubbish movies, you will love this.

I'm not a big transformers fan like some people here (with my main exposure to the series coming from Animated and occasional browsing of the transformers wiki), but I am interested in at least checking out the premier of this new show. So far, the reviews I've read have been mixed, with some praising it and others feeling that it's just plain average. All I know is that it's good to see ol' Bulkhead returning, as he was one of my favorite characters on Animated.

Actually, this series has been widely accepted by G1 fans,as well as a wide range of TF fans alike. Its apparent your just stuck in the 80's and judging by your prior post concerning anything TF related, if its not G1 your just going to consider it "rubbish" anyways. :hmpf:

I think this series is great. It combines Little bit of everything. G1, Animated, Beast wars, and the movies. Designs for the most part are done well. Megatron is a nice mix of G1 and animated, as is Optimus prime. Bulkhead is still clumsy, but takes a bit more serious approach. Not sure about Starscream. He look a little to feminine to me. And there take on Soundwave's "third party" voicing using his synthesizer is neat. I'd still rather hear him talk himself, but this take is at least out of the norm.

Overall i think this series will do well. I hope we get a toy line soon.

So, I watched the first two episodes, and while I generally enjoyed it, I still think Animated is vastly superior. The robots on Prime don't have nearly as well defined personalities, and the new kid characters don't really add much to the plot like Sari did. However, the animation is very good - the fight seens in particular are the best I've ever seen in a CGI show - and the voice acting is well done. I'm particularly liking Steve Blum as Starscream; I knew the guy would do a good job, and yet I'm actually a bit surprised at the approach he took. He's a lot more subdued than expected - and the same goes for Frank Welker's new take on Megatron.

I'll continue watching, but unless they can make this show more interesting (bringing in some more actual Decepticon characters would definitely help), I can't see it garnering the same love I have for the previous incarnation. :sceptic:

I think the series is okay for the single episode I watched. I'll have to wait until February to judge fully.

Henceforth i'm not a big fan of it.Prime without a nose is, disturbing.

I mean, it's certainly not a bad series, the voices for the characters is pretty good. I just, i dont know it seems like they have to compete with Animated now and hence could be hard to deliver.

Transformers: Prime just felt like an unnecessarily long cut-scene from a computer game to me. I'll watch the next episodes when they screen in the hope that it's found its feet by then, but I doubt it ever will.

It was trying to be 'darker', I think, and even included a torture scene... but then they pulled their punches, and the result of this torture was just to make someone act silly. I think this is an example of why the show is so weak... it doesn't have the guts to really be as 'serious' as it pretends to be.

I find it funny that so many Transformers fans think that Animated was too 'juvenile', and then believe that Prime is somehow more appropriate for an older audience. It's like claiming that GI Joe is more 'mature' than Barbie because Barbie doesn't have guns. No... actually, it's all aimed at the same age group.
