MattZitron Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 On the up side the legs for Meca One was included (which wasn't the case with the first batch).I guess I could order the replacements at Lego (maybe at no cost) since the box doesn't contain what was on the box, but it really bugs me to go to this kind of trouble. Where's ya pics for comparission sire? Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Here's one straight from the on-line shop: Quote
natelite Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 i am really confused by what you said. what is out of the box is not what is on the box? what exactly are you trying to say? i tried playing "spot the difference" with the picture you posted and the review pictures and frankly, i can't see the difference. what's going on? EXO-CHAMP Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 As english is not my first language I may have expressed my self badly. On the first picture you clearly see 4 grey guns from the main body. They are supposed to be black (and a different shape according to the outside of the box and the on-line picture). The same goes for the thin rods under the cockpit. They are also supposed to be the same as the other 4 guns (the ones found on up-link and others). My set came with substitute bricks for the 6 gun-barrels and erata instructions. These are the ones that I mean: Quote
natelite Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 the uplink gun is made from the same cylinder as the 6 barrel gatling. sorry, i'm still puzzled by what you said. i can't see any grey parts that were black in the other pictures. maybe a photo of the eratas as found in the instruction book will help. Do so. Alot of people complained about that when they first got him. And as for the guns not matching the box, same thing. Lego can and does replace them for free. I'g gotten a Bionicle set that had these silly blocks with notches and green string you had to tie on the ends, instead of the pre-studded green string. I called, and got it a few weeks later. You might want to CALL them though... the results are faster than sending an email sometimes. Quote
natelite Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 crap....that looks seriously ugly. they replaced with star wars guns and castle pillars. were the instructions also updated? looks like one more reason not to buy striking venom. *sad* why not try asking customer service for replacement? tell us how it went. *sweet* Quote
EXO-CHAMP Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 The instructions were updated. An errate note included in the box showed were the replacement parts went. I think I will contact the customer service, but it really bugs me that I have to correct an error that Lego did on purpose (I mean - the bricks and errate notes didn't fall into the box by accident). It's just not good enough... Quote
