vexorian Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Is this offical? If it is, why are the villians stealing energys all over again ? Why not? It worked just fine for Transformers. Quote
Barrage Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Looks like Hero Recon Team is gonna launch April 4th. Which is a shame, would Have loved to mess around with it before the school week started, but hey, i shouldn't be complaining, because it's better then launching, on say, April 14th. http://designbyme.lego.com/en-US/news/default.aspx?id=301294 Edited April 3, 2011 by Barrage Quote

Mesonak Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) As was stated in the talkback of the topic, since it was posted on April Fools day, it's most likely a joke. That does seem like what the ideal lineup would be, however. -Mesonak Edited April 4, 2011 by Mesonak Quote

I don't know if the additions will show up exactly on time, because they didn't come out and say "at this time, the replacements will instantly take effect" but the update that it's right around the corner is welcome but still, wake me when it happens <- perhaps the first time I've used sceptic for it's intended purpose Edited April 4, 2011 by SpiderSpaceman Quote

Btw it says Already began to appear about sets early 2012. Yesterday, the German section of the site appeared Amazon.com list of sets of fourth-generation (only characters): 2201 - Stormer 4.0 2202 - Surge 4.0 2203 - Stringer 4.0 2204 - Rocka 4.0 2205 - Konnor 4.0 2206 - Evo 4.0 Also, the user Eurobricks Mack104, claimed to have seen these sets, said that the foundation of Heroes has not changed, but their armor is an entirely new and more mobile, but a new hero, Connor, purple. Presumably, it will be female character. Edited April 4, 2011 by toatali Quote

Barrage Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) BTW, while the hero recon system itself isn't up, the new parts are on LDD and are available for use. Edited April 4, 2011 by Barrage Quote
airsoftg36c Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Why has TLG done this to us? They took an excellent line, and turned it into an action figure line. The only interesting looking set in this entire line(since the Piraka I have seen so far has been the Witch-Doctor(coming out in this years line). Bionicle should either go back to the Toa, or stop all together. Quote

Bionicle should either go back to the Toa, or stop all together. It's not even Bionicle anymore. Hasn't been for two years. Literally.(bionicle has been cancelled, Hero Factory is NOT an extension of it.) It is now aimed at littler children and shouldn't be compared to Bionicle. It's it's own stand alone series. Quote

It's been an action figure line from the beginning. Going back to the BIONICLE and the Toa won't make this any less of an action figure line. Quote
Brickthing Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Hero Recon has been launched. The part selection is mostly pieces available in the current wave, along with some extra accessories such as chainsaws, spikes and flame pieces. You have the potential to have up to eight of the single-per-set spike pieces, two Hero hands, uncommon armour (eight trans-orange armour pieces?) and the exclusive dual armour piece (optional, if you'd rather not have it ). Only six armors. You can't place armors on the forearms, as far as i know. I ordered my own Hero, and it's actually pretty cool, but i just don't understand why the forearms have to be the long ones since they can't have any armor on them... Here's a picture of my hero : The thigh armors are supposed to be placed on the sides, and the other legs armors have to be in the other direction, but apart from this, it's okay, i think. I just hope the colorscheme will look good in person. Quote

Note that LEGO Digital Designer in DbM mode doesn't have the shorter lower arms, either. I'm not "hooked" by Hero Recon Team, yet-- Digital Designer seems like a superior design tool, even if you only use DesignByMe mode, since you can view your model from multiple angles as you're designing it. But I'm sure some of the functions of it, like using your design in Ordeal of Fire, as well as the potential for HeroPad integrating this system (I can easily see designing a hero with HRT as a challenge you can get awards for) may seal the deal for me. Quote
ZORK64 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I frankly prefer the Recon Team designer over LDD, but only because LDD works terribly slow on my PC for whatever reason. It's kinda sad that there only the same pieces available you could also get by buying the regular sets. I was hoping that the Recon team will also feature pieces like blue shield tools. However, the entire stuff is also now available on Pick-a-Brick, and that makes me happy anyway. Quote
_shaddow_ Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Heres mine.. It looks like a part pack to me. It does look good, once again, i wish there was some way to place armors on the forearms. This one might have looked better with Silver or black hands/feet, but eh, they're not available, sadly. Quote

This one might have looked better with Silver or black hands/feet, but eh, they're not available, sadly. Silver hands are available, actually. But then the feet wouldn't match. I personally think the red looks very good, since it's a pretty close match to transparent fluorescent reddish-orange (at least in real life). Just look at Ackar! Not so happy with the medium lilac (dark purple), since I feel the face and hero core could use more contrast with the armor and other parts. But a color that's extremely different would have made the color scheme look cluttered, so I don't know what would be best. In any event, great design! Anyway, the Hero Factory website now has a Comic Builder like the one on the city site. It has a lot of options, but I'm awfully confused on how they work. I wish there was a tutorial. In any event, it seems pretty well-designed and I'm sure some creative folks will make good use of it. Edited April 6, 2011 by Aanchir Quote
VBBN Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Yeah this is just a parts pack, This one in particular is; -As many trans parts as I could get -Purple because it's purple and i love purple;D -And red for shits n giggles, the other ones I make will be different. Quote
jala12 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Anyone know where to select those shield things? I don't see them anywhere as an option in the Recon builder... Quote
bionicle factory Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Anyone know where to select those shield things? I don't see them anywhere as an option in the Recon builder... You need to use the fingerless hand (Not claw) and press the top sign. Quote
Phantoka Kopaka Nuva Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Furno 3.0's bows are in there! But split in half for each hand... Quote
