Bfahome Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Stormer 2.0 Furno 2.0 Nex 2.0 Surge 2.0 Evo 2.0 Breez 2.0 Nitroblast Drilldozer Jetbug Fire Lord Looks like they at least got the wacky colors under control. Quote
Nike2032 Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Good find Mesonak, and thanks Bfahome for posting direct links to the images. These new pictures make the sets looked much better than previously, particularly the Fire Lord. But I'm still disappointed in how he used Furno's blade from last year as his primary weapon. Quote
The Crazy One Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Wow, they actually look okay! I think I might pick the villains up aswell. Damn, Atlantis, Pharoahs Quest, Hero Factory and finishing off Harry Potter...my girlfriend may have to stay somewhere else for a while! Quote

The Crazy One Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 You forgot Ninjago Okay, she will have to move out. Quote
kentaiscool Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Is that a silver hand i see on firelord!!! Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Looks like they at least got the wacky colors under control. I like that they've replaced the transparent armor plates with a molten rock print armor plate Quote
Zip Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I like that they've replaced the transparent armor plates with a molten rock print armor plate Or with stickers. =/ Quote
Bricks2000 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Congrats Lego! You turned a horibble Fire lord to a Quarter decent set. Quote
kentaiscool Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Congrats Lego! You turned a horibble Fire lord to a Quarter decent set. He also has a silver hand Quote
vexorian Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I think the most important changes in the villains are the light used when rendering and the pose. They seem almost the same as before. Even fire lord. Quote
Aethersprite Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Did Jetbug have pincers in the prelims? Because HE IS AWESOME. MUST. GET. Plus the boxart is simply wicked. I CAN'T WAIT. WOOHOO! Quote
dviddy Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Or with stickers. =/ I doubt they're stickers. Quote
The Dor Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 He also has a silver hand Instead of the AWESOME CLAW I was totally looking forward to :( Maybe it's just on his other hand now. I think the most important changes in the villains are the light used when rendering and the pose. They seem almost the same as before. Even fire lord. Well, Fire Lord seems to have a more balanced color scheme, but yeah, that could just be the lighting. I tend to think not though, due to DV's hints. Did Jetbug have pincers in the prelims? Because HE IS AWESOME. MUST. GET. Plus the boxart is simply wicked. I CAN'T WAIT. WOOHOO! I like how... earthy Drilldozer's is. It makes him seem like a dwarf. Mixed with a bulldog (he totally has a bulldog face). I doubt they're stickers. I'm eager to see where you're getting your information from. Probably a little more eager to find that out than I am to see the sets themselves. I'm surprised no one has commented on the new descriptions of the villains and heroes yet... Or the purple on Evo. Or the fact that each set has its own custom printed armor piece. Also, Drilldozer has a tail and Nitroblast has a double-arm on his left arm. Quote
Darkness Falls Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Jetbug and Nitroblast are now officially AWESOME. They are actually buys for me. I like the Fire Lord a lot more now, and of course, a few of the Heroes will be instant purchases for me. Quote
Brickthing Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I want Nitroblast with a yellow head I wouldn't mind Jetbug with a red head either. Quote
Phantoka_Chirox Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Nitroblast looks awesome. VERY awesome, the fact that the finalized armor pieces are smooth, not bumpy on the villains make me PS: PURPLE Quote
Baylego Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Evo 2.0 is purple! That is one I might want now. Quote
ZORK64 Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) Yay! New pictures! Thanks alot! Hmmm... it's gonna be really hard to me which villians I'll get. Fire Lord is thanks to his enourmous amount of pieces a sure buy, but I'm not sure which of the other 3 villians I should get. On the hero-side, I'll get Stormer and Surge, mostly because I need blue and white armour plates for a MOC. Edited November 28, 2010 by ZORK64 Quote
Zip Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I doubt they're stickers. Oh, so it's printed. =/ That would mean that all those decals on the Heroes are printed too. Quote
Zarkan Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Eh, nope, I still don't like the heroes at all. While it's nice to be finally getting a Bionicle-style set with purple in it again, it's really only two pieces that are being made in that color. And the actual designs of the HERO 2.0's, with all the awkward asymetrcality and ugly helments, leaves a lot to be desired. The 2010 Heroes were still way better asthetically IMO, while these.... just don't cut it. On the other hand, the box villians are looking much better. Fire Lord still looks fairly lame, but Jetbug, Nitroblast, and Drilldozer all now scream awesome. It's nice to see that the finalized color schemes actually look good, and the actual designs are perfectly fine. So, I guess 3 out of 10 isn't so bad? Well, actually it is, but at least it's not 0/10. Quote
Geki Brick Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) Some comments on each hero: 1. Furno - awkward looking goggles. pretty much the standard set with no unique parts. 2. Stormer - pretty much Furno's twin. :( 3. Surge - My fav! Weapon is a tribute to Mistika Gali and Phantoka Kopaka. 4. Evo - 2nd best. Digging the weapon. 5. Nex - Evo's twin? Cool football helmet. 6. Breez - Weapons are lacking a bit. Cool helmet as well. Thinking about get Surge and Evo. P.S. Villains IMO looks bleh Edited November 28, 2010 by Geki Brick Quote
Refia Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I still don't like the heroes, and Zarkan summed up why for me pretty good, so I'm not going to repeat what he said. The villains have improved, however, but I still don't rank them as high as the ones we got this year. Perhaps I need to pictures of the build set before making final judgement. Fire Lord in particular seemed to have upped himself from zero to (just below) average. Total disaster has been avoided for Hero Factory this year, I guess. At least from my point of view. Feel free to disagree. =) Quote
Aethersprite Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Is it just me, or does Jetbug really resemble Bitil? Yellowish colour scheme, clawed mouth, blades for hands, blaster on left hand, dual wings/jet rockets, clawed feet, spikes everywhere... I'm a sucker for insectoids, and I really love Bitil. Jetbug seems to me as a more refined, much more awesome version of Bitil - he's like a dream come true for me. I never noticed Jetbug had pincers for his mouth on the prelims, I always thought they were part of his torso. Quote
