Maybe they're also cutting back on the HF sets because of the Superheroes figures. Back then in 2010 there were also only the Bionicle Stars alongside with Ben 10.

It is all speculation right now, it could as well be that spielgel.de forgot to list it. Note however that the number of villains seems quite "healthy".

I am speculating this because it makes sense. I am gonna argue that most kids get around 3 heroes at the end so it may be a good idea to spend less time on designing the heroes and this might give the people that used to get all 5 heroes more money to spend on large sets, but that's arguable. I also think that story does better with fewer protagonic characters consider the Five man band.

I don't think that's the case, HF is said to continue equally with Superheroes figures. Spielwaren maybe didn't list one set. Or LEGO didn't decide which one to add now.

I didn't mean that I'm thinking that LEGO won't release HF sets at all because of the Superheroes. I rather think that there might be a slightly lower number of HF sets, but yeah, that's only speculation.

Well, it's not that much of a difference if you got a Five man band or a Six man band (even if the 6th member isn't a Sixth Ranger) for the story. If they really want to reduce the characters for a plot, they'd go for a trio.

I personally rather suppose the currently missing 6th hero is a new character which still lacks a name and thus he isn't listed yet.

The most likely scenarios to me are these following three:

1. Reapa is the sixth Hero who was poisoned/corrupted and turned into a villain.

2. The sixth hero simply was not listed on the store's website, and we will see pictures of him/her at a later date along with the others.

3. There is no sixth Hero; Furno takes over for Stormer who resigns/changes teams, and they decide to keep the team as is. this also works with the fact that there are five known villains and heroes.

Also, several friends of mine will be recording Savage Planet when it airs Sept. 5th on Nicktoons. I will post a link once it has been uplodaded for your viewing pleasure. :classic:

1 and 2 have the most chances. My choice would be 2. But 3 would make an awesome storyline if true.

My theory is that Nebula is back and his gang is updated now.

So maybe like a damaged Nebula and the first line of villans, but with the new pieces and with more villainous features.

That would be interesting, but I would rather get a new set of villains.

I agree on the cutting back thing. The 6 heroes formula was carried over from Bionicle. However, here in HF, they aren't exactly colour-coded according to element, so kids would find them roughly the same. I personally don't mind if it ends up being a 5-man team.

If, however, Reapa is a corrupted hero (of sorts), maybe his 'clean' version would appear in a LE set or something? Been longing for one of those in the HF line after the new building system was introduced.

That's a good idea. I could even see LEGO using their color-blend technique (like on Xplode's spike plates) to simulate a hero being "corrupted" by this new color; for example, a purple hero with black blended into the armor.

Anyone know the piece numbers for the Thornax Launcher piece, a black 3.0 hand, and a gold ball in the Rocka / Rocka XL sets? I can't read the numbers on the page in the review topic. Thanks!

2012 Hero Factory set names have been found by yours truly; unlike the "lists" we've been shown before, these come from a legitimate site that featured the 3.0 names months before release; Link. A search for Hero Factory should bring up the results. Obviously there's someone missing, because there are only five heroes (unless one of the other sets is a new hero, which I heavily doubt.)

Individual set listings;

Breez

Evo

Surge

Rocka

Furno

Jawblade

Splitface

Thornraxx

Black Phantom

Toxic Reapa

I'm kind of in a daze at the moment because I didn't expect to come across these so late in the night; I'm going to get some shut-eye and come in fresh tommorow with my thoughts! Hopefully pictures will surface soon to accompany these names.

I'm liking these quiet a lot, with the exception of "Thornraxx", which sounds fairly atrocious to me. I do hope there is a sixth Hero; it would be a decent twist if it turned out to be Toxic Reapa before he became a villain. Instead of an extra large Hero we'd get a "corrupted" one, that would be pretty nice. I think people are fixating on Toxic Reapa a little too much, though; it seems to me that Black Phantom will be a great deal more pivotal to the storyline. However, I could be wrong, we'll all just have to wait and see.

Thanks guys, for the numbers! I never knew that the numbers were online (they never were for Bionicle).

The entire instruction booklets for most post-2002 sets are online at service.LEGO.com, and all instruction booklets since 2006 have included part inventories (with Element IDs) in the back. So finding part numbers online, whether for Hero Factory or post-2006 BIONICLE, is fairly simple.

Also, while from your context it was somewhat easy to tell what numbers you were looking for, bear in mind that there are multiple types of part numbers. There are Design IDs, which specify the shape of a part and sometimes the type of plastic it is made from, and these are the ones that are seen molded into a lot of parts like weapons. Then there are Element IDs, which specify the shape, material, color, and any decorations on the part. Element IDs are the ones that show up in instruction booklets, and they are much more specific than Design IDs.

With all these things about 2012 sets I forgot.

Rocka doesn't have a first name, does he? I don't remember he being called by first name on Savage Planet.

I have yet to see Savage Planet, but if they don't reveal it there, they don't anywhere. Actually, I can't remember any reference to any first name of a hero in any comic or movie. Maybe they're just sticking with last names in 2012?

I don't see why they don't just add a first name to his biography page on the website. It's so incredibly easy to name a Hero, it is certainly not an intricate process that requires hours of hard thinking, I can think of a number of suggestions in a heartbeat; Jacob Rocka, Ethan Rocka, Michael Rocka, Jayden Rocka, Alexander Rocka, Noah Rocka, Daniel Rocka. Just to name a few.

Rocka certainly didn't have any first name when the website first listed him (I'm not just saying this because the website has no first name for him-- Swert from HS01 asked Kelly McKiernan about it and got confirmation that there was at the time no first name for Rocka at that time). I hope it isn't the start of a trend-- I really like the first names for so many characters. They make the story feel a lot more down-to-earth and relatable.
