Echo Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Looks nice. It isn't as big as I thought it would be, but that can be fixed by buying two and modifying them. Those gaurds must be idiots. They are so absorbed with putting Riddler in their slightly modifyed police van that they don't notice Scarecrow and Poisen Ivy escaping. What morons. :-P Quote
Vader Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Hmmm the bigger picture does make this set look better than i first thought which is good, though its not what i expected there are a few things that i really like about this set. Firstly the little scarecrow statue, this looks so good yet its also so simple and fits in very well. Secondly i now notice the little tiles that are placed on the top of the cells, these seem to have a lock print on them which is again a nice touch, this is the first time ive ever seen these tiles before are they new?? One thing that puzzles me is weather or not the scarecrow cell is the same sort of shape as the riddlers and ivys, i take it that its situated somewhere at the back of the main building. Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Vader, to answer your question, those printed locks tile 1x1 are not new, they were on several Harry Potter sets (including the magnificent Graveyard 8- Quote

alex54 Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I'm not a LEGO Batman fan, but I certenly buy it to make a good addition to my town, a good old manor. It makes me thinking of a thing; does a Wayne manor will be released? Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 To continue on this interesting off topic question ( :-P ), I doubt it, even though it would be fantastic ;-) Imagine a real stoned classic manor, a black limousine, and some non costumed women characters like Viky vale and Selina Kyle *wub* Would be great for collectors but I doubt of the playability of the set (maybe a hidden garage door with a smaller batmobile coming out ;-) or something like that ? *yoda* Quote

I personally hope that they will release a Wayne Manor, and think that many other wishes so too. Quote
Vader Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I agree with Christian here im afraid, if lego were to release such a set i would expect the sells number to be very poor its a shame as i would like one though. Yoda your Obsession with the lego ladies continues to amuse me X-D :-P Quote

sam89 Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Vader, I'm actually pretty sure that the Scarecrow's cell is above Poison Ivy's. That's why the statue is attached to the side of it. Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Think so Sam ?? So why are there bars all over the "main" building ?? For future villains 8- Quote
sam89 Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 From the description on legionsofgotham a while back, those are "safety bars", so no one can just break through the door. Quote
DoubleT Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Is it just me, or is Lego starting to use computer animated pictures for boxes??? And i hope that all will have a chance to buy it.. not just the americans... Quote
DoubleT Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I hope your right yoda..... And the figs dont look completely like figs on the box, but ill survive he he Quote
natelite Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I finally saw the box art. I think this set will be very popular. We have joker, two-face, cat-woman, penguin, freezer all without cells. The true fans of batman will probably get 2 or even 3 sets to make enough cells for all of them. Even non-batman fans will buy the set. It has 7 minifigs and gothic looking buildings. You can't have a lot of play pretend with a batcave (since when do most batman battle happens in the batcave?), but you can have lots of play pretend with this set (if you don't want the asylum setting you can assume they were in the city and batman is hunting them). well, that's what i think anyway. *sad* Quote

This information comes from this thread. Quote
Scnicker Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 That looks good! Although I'm not sure if I'll pick it up or not, I think it's a huge improvement over the Bat Cave. And you can never have enough of those oval windows *skull* Quote
General Grievous Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 This set looks awesome but you know what would have made a whole lot better? A Hugo Strange minifig :-) Quote
Evil Willy Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Oh my thanks soo much! This is awsome for pieces(Just like everyone pointed out) Very glad to see a nice set. Only one I want from Batman line. And more muskets! Yes...This is a sign, more pirates to come lol jk ;) Heh but who knows? Thanks reideen Quote
gusmoore17 Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 WOW!!! The first impressions are that Arkham Asylum is just a mess of modular castle-harrypotter like sets, but then, everything makes sense... Poison Ivy's and Scarecrow's cells are together in the same building and then you have other two in which of course one must be Riddle's and then...well, it looks like playability simply won't stop in this set! Then we have the building's design, which is I think EXCELLENT, it's like having KK2 and HP sets together in a wild mix called Batman... I won't say that I didn't wanted a more Tim-Burton-like design, but the final results are amazing. The castle-like buildings and the "modern" entrance are great!!! The minifigs are also a great and a most-have addition to this set, as it is the transport included. The only thing that disapoints me is Batman's Glider....what's that?? and Shadow's bike, well, at least is black. Conclusion: a most have set!!! :-) Quote
