Courleciel Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Hi ! Here is the new version of my lightsaber, with chrome and metallic parts: Old versions: Your feedbacks are welcome. Enjoy ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Wow, I'm very impressed with this brickbuilt lightsaber, especially since this is probably the first time I saw one. Very nice use of those chrome pieces, and it even has the crystal details inside. Very good job coming up with this brilliant and unique idea Courleciel! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I've seen brick-built lightsabers before, but never one that made extensive use of chrome. I'm assuming you based it on the Obi-Wan/Luke model? Quote
KimT Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Nice work. The mix of metallic and chrome is pretty good. Quote
Courleciel Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 I've seen brick-built lightsabers before, but never one that made extensive use of chrome. I'm assuming you based it on the Obi-Wan/Luke model? Exact. It was my inspiration. Thanks for your comments. Quote
Blackknight112 Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Nice work I really like the crome you put into this Quote
Mr Man Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 That is very good I like the chrome pieces. Also the lightsabre has a good shape and proportions to it, I like the crystals inside as well good detail Quote
Big Cam Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Is everything LEGO, including the chrome ate the end?!?! That's awesome, the proportions are just perfect. You just need a stand and a glass case for it. Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Very very cool! The little details are great. I'm assuming all of the parts are Lego? Quote
Darth Yogi Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 That looks awesome. It looks very real and those chrome parts look excellent on it. Great job Quote
brickbuilder Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Nice! This owns my next-door neighbor's brickbuilt lightsabers! (and mine ) . I swear, when I opened up this topic, I thought it wasn't even lego! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Is everything LEGO, including the chrome ate the end?!?! That's awesome, the proportions are just perfect. You just need a stand and a glass case for it. It looks like a 3 x 3 cone and a round Technic bit from the N-1, and then a wheel hub at the very end. Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Cool lightsaber Courleciel ! Loving all the chrome pieces! CF Quote
prateek Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Wow! I saw the regular hilt, and I was amazed by the chrome, but when you opened it up and I saw the crystal, I loved it! Great job Any more of these planned? Quote
Ceroknight Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Thats sick! You inspired me to make a brick built sonic screw driver! Quote
StoutFiles Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Would you ever consider uploading a part list and/or instructions for it? I'd love to build this someday. Quote
Praiter Yed Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I see you have constructed your own light-sabre ... and very nice it is too. I really like the way you have built this and the chrome/metallic parts work really well. However, IMO it would look even better if you were to incorporate some black pieces rather than light grey. I think the light grey is too close in tone to the metallic parts and the use of black would enhance it further. Never-the-less... impressive, most impressive. Quote
Ras 74 Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 A very good brick built lightsaber indeed! Nice that you inserted pics of your previous one as well. Quote
The_Customizer Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Great job on it! The detail is nice, and I the use of the Chrome Pieces! I really like the way you have built this and the chrome/metallic parts work really well. However, IMO it would look even better if you were to incorporate some black pieces rather than light grey. I think the light grey is too close in tone to the metallic parts and the use of black would enhance it further. Yeah, I agree, with black it would stand out a bit more, and be more authentic! Maybe you could even find the pieces to make the blade as well! Quote
Eskallon Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Very nice work and I love the chrome parts on the light-saber. The only criticism I have is that the one large metallic piece under the two chrome ones looks a little out of place, perhaps changing that one to chrome too. Overall great work though. Quote
