Bricktooth Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Those claws on the guy in the middle in the second TMNT picture would be perfect for Wolverine, I think. Quote
Pandora Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Collectible Minifigs left lying around next to Superheroes and idle hands... well, this just seemed like a natural mix-up: Quote
Hobbestimus Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) Is that a Mega-Block Krang I see?! Love the Avengers assembled pic. He uses a COUPLE of Mega Blok parts, but he's 95% Lego...and 1% sticker. Those claws on the guy in the middle in the second TMNT picture would be perfect for Wolverine, I think. Captain Nemo Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) On my Flickr, I've made a few "Black and White" style photos, with a color highlight. These are meant for a Flickr Icon format, so they'll look good in small icons, but nonetheless, they're still cool pictures of minifigures. Here's a few: These are just a few, Two-Face, Bane, and Joker's Henchmen whose come to be known as "Coco" in my Joker creations. Edited January 17, 2013 by Captain Nemo Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Those look nice, the color provides a nice contrast. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I was trying to light these for a dim "sewer" look. Not sure that was the best call, but here they are anyway: "Booyakasha!" by Hobbestimus, on Flickr "Can I get you a slice?" by Hobbestimus, on Flickr "This is my favorite show!" by Hobbestimus, on Flickr "Listen, my sons..." by Hobbestimus, on Flickr Quote
Vindicare Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Nice shots, Hobbestimus! You're really making it hard for me to not spend more money I don't have on TMNT sets at the moment. Quote
Oky Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Very cool pictures, Captain Nemo! I think you should post all of them here, or at least provide a link to your Flickr so that we can see them in their full glory! Hobbestimus, yours aren't bad either, but they're quite grainy. What camera are you using? If you can, you should play with the adjustments a bit to fix that, or you can take the pictures in regular light and then darken them afterwards. Anyway, merry Christmas everyone! Let's all sing it now: Jingle Bells, Batman smells... And the Joker Got Away by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Nice one Oky. I think you should try what Oky said Hobbitstimus. Quote

It's an old Canon and I need an upgrade. Here's what it looks like in just basic room lighting: Any advice on what to look for in a new camera, with an eye towards photographing tiny Lego bits? Oky Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Hobbitstimus (In Gollum voice:) Hobbitstimus? What is a Hobbitstimus? Here's what it looks like in just basic room lighting: SNIP Any advice on what to look for in a new camera, with an eye towards photographing tiny Lego bits? Yes, that definitely looks better. Well, most cameras usually have a setting for close shots. Not sure which one to recommend. If you get one with interchangeable lenses, get a macro lens. Quote
