Masked Builder Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Excellent shots Oky! That's a great idea that you've pulled off wonderfully with the Toy Story figs. Quote

Iron-Man Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Really liking the one with Cap under the ice! Very nicely done! Quote
Ubber_Corp Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Nice use of Heroscape(?) for those two Hobbestimus. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 It is Heroscape, indeed. I thought I might lose points for not using Lego backdrops, but the Heroscape ice was what I needed to produce the frozen effect for Cap. And then Superman shot was an afterthought that occurred to me while I had all the Heroscape stuff out anyway... Thanks for the kind words, guys. Quote

I think if anything they gain more points for using a non-LEGO backdrop! Quote
Oky Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Those are some very cool shots, Hobbestimus! And no, you do not loose points. There might be some unofficial rules for building MOCs or making customs, but in photography the sky is the limit! Unless, you know, you want to launch your Lego into space and shoot a picture of it through your telescope. As long as you don't use MegaBloks, you should be fine. Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Series 7 Space Marine armor makes a perfect Hulkbuster armor for Captain America. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Wow, that does work pretty well! Great idea. Quote
Remus_Lupin Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Haven't managed to get behind the camera in a while, but seeing this thread bumped made me want to contribute. So, some older ones that I haven't posted before: Death Eaters by Stephen_J_OM, on Flickr Breakfast at the Burrow by Stephen_J_OM, on Flickr Ron's Desires by Stephen_J_OM, on Flickr Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Some nice shots, I like the Deatheater one. And now for one from me! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Final Exit, I think you misunderstand the purpose of the thread. While your pictures are well lit and in focus, this thread is meant for photos that are more artistically inclined. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 And another shot from me, that I'm quite happy with. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 That's great, it almost doesn't even look like Lego. Could be a full size prop. Quote
Remus_Lupin Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Some nice shots, I like the Deatheater one. And now for one from me! Why thank you, I must return the compliment - nice version of Tony Stark I felt that I needed a new avatar to match my name, so I took out the camera and whipped this up: Forever Shadowed by Stephen_J_OM, on Flickr Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Thanks guys! I love the werewolf back there, great set up. Quote
Oky Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Great stuff everyone! Keep 'em coming! Here are some Iron Man shots from me. The first is a recreation of this movie poster. Iron-Man Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Enough said! Really those are all great "Oky"! My favorite is the middle one but they are all incredible! Quote
Iron-Man Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I feel like you know me so well lol but thank you for your consistent contributions to both the photography threads! They are much appreciated, and hopefully after these last cursed finals I can get home and start contributing as well! Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Oky, those are great. I also like how you can see just how badly the Tony Stark face is printed in the second one. Quote
