Masked Builder Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Very nice Solscud007, not the head-hair combo I would have chose, still trying to BL them, but it works pretty well. Quote

Masked Builder Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Nope. They aren't perfect but it is what I had on hand. Didnt want to hold up the shoot for parts. Yeah, I do it to much myself, it's a good solution though. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Very nice Solscud007, not the head-hair combo I would have chose, still trying to BL them, but it works pretty well. In a later Cap MOC I'm making, I'm using 2011 Podrace Obi-Wan's angry face and S3 Racecar Driver's hair. It looks pretty nice. Anyway, nice pictures, Solscud. I like your solution for using Loki's hair. Nice job! Quote
JackJonespaw Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Nice, Masked Builder! If you want to photo edit the arc reactor, I wouldn't say no to that. I think it would make it look cooler. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Nice, Masked Builder! If you want to photo edit the arc reactor, I wouldn't say no to that. I think it would make it look cooler. Yeah, in fact, I tried to and I didn't get anything I liked so I just scrapped it. Quote
Oky Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Indeed, nice work, Masked! Most of you have probably seen my light & dark side comparison shots over in the Star Wars Photography thread. Well, I figured that this could be done with other licensed figs as well! Light & Dark Knight by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr The Dark Side of the Potter by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Quote
JackJonespaw Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Nice ones, Oky! I was thinking of doing something like this, but you beat me too it! I must say, these look great, although light grey Harry could be lined up a bit more. Quote
Mr Man Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 The Dark Side of the Potter by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr That just shows me how much I preferred the old torso . What I'm out of the SW forum . Really good especialy Batman, he lines up very well . Quote
Remus_Lupin Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Ever since the mini Batmobile was revealed some months ago, I've been waiting to do this shot: Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Nice shot Remus. I do agree that shot needed to be done, nice work. Quote
Plissken Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 So many great pictures. It's a pleasure to skip through this thread. Here is a little shot I took today. Enjoy. Quote
K-Nut Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Really nice shot, Plissken! They look right at home. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Excellent Shot Plissken! You have a perfect backyard (?) for it. Quote
Vindicare Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Nice shot! I always enjoy seeing figs in real world environments. This works perfectly for the cannibals! Quote
JackJonespaw Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Nice picture, Plissken! I like the focus on it - it somehow seems natural. Quote
Solscud007 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 The Modular Town Hall press podium reminded me of a scene in Iron Man. the room is a bit small but I tried to recreate it from a side angle. "Truth is . . . I AM Iron Man" And then I used the Town Hall meeting table to have a meeting about the seriousness of Hulk's purple thong. Quote
Masked Builder Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I love that second shot, though both are excellent representations! Quote
Sextant Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Hi. I'm an old man (turning 40 this year) who hasn't posted to an internet forum in about 5 years. After years of anonymous lurking here, this thread has finally compelled me to register. I've been taking portraits for 20 years, and came out of my Lego dark ages about 8 years ago. Now I'm trying my hand at combining the the two with some minifig portraiture. I've read over the tutorials and guidelines, so my fingers are crossed that I'm doing this right. ...and I see now that I have to make 5 posts before I can post a photo, so allow me to compliment some of the previous work in the thread, especially the technical skill and compositional eye demonstrated by Oky, Remus_Lupin, Hobbestimus and (especially especially) smokebelch. As soon as I figure out where I can make four more posts that don't come off like pointless spam, I'll be back with some photos of my own. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) *snip* Love it, but it needs more shawarma. Edited May 29, 2012 by CorneliusMurdock Quote
