Solscud007 Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) I should have shot a picture of the backs. oh well. I think he makes for a better Pharaoh Mummy thanks to my Series 2 Pharaoh. Edited December 7, 2010 by Solscud007 Quote
Masked Builder Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Still don't have Series 3. I do like what you did at the end though. I also like how there's no skin/mummy showing under the Pharaohs Quest mummy's. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) Nice to see the comparison of the S3 and PQ mummies, I agree the S3 one makes for a better Pharoah mummy since its white color differentiates it to the more generic grey Mummy soldiers. Edited December 7, 2010 by KielDaMan Quote

KielDaMan, actually the mummy is S3. The gold pearl Pharaoh head dress and cobra staff are from S2 pharaoh. Quote

Cancerkitty Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 The S3 mummy is cooler looking than I thought. I wish that hadn't used brilliant white for the color though. Is the mummy sending his bandages in to be cleaned and bleached? Quote
puriri Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I really don't like the S3 mummy. I mean green skin? wth. If you want a better "Pharaoh" mummy use the old adventurers one. Quote
fff Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 A nice addition is with printed arms... but does not look so menacing Quote
Captain Blockbeard Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 I also like what you did with the combination of elements of the Series 2 Pharaoh with the Series 3 mummy. I'll probably use that idea with the spare parts from my Egyptian Queen (modified Series 2 Pharaoh) and the Series 3 Mummy. Also, just to note that the Pharaoh's Quest Pharaoh Mummy is different from those. See here: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=pha007 Quote
Oky Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) I said it before, and I'll say it again: I don't like the S3 mummy. It looks like a TPed Army Man due to the green and white colors. The PQ mummies are way better, even if they don't have as much printing on their limbs. And since it is released at about the same time as the PQ line, it's pretty useless. However, the Studios mummy is still the best. Edited December 7, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

user Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 My city hasn't even gotten Series 1!!! I am so nagry! >:C I thought that the area I lived in never got them but then realized that they where just sold out at most places that sell lego but then I was dragged into a clothing store by my sister because she wanted to get some clothes and found them there even though I didn't see them at TRU or target. The prices were marked up to $5.00 a piece though so I didn't get any but it's possible that you where just to late to get them. Quote
The_Box Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 as said by Oky Wan, the studio mummy is much better than these 2 however S3 mummy is not far behind. The face on the PQ mummies is what really kills it though. I think we need comparisons of all the mummies to really see which one is the best. Quote
autobrick Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 As others have mentioned, the problem with the Series 3 Mummy is the colour scheme. The mummy's white wrappings seem to indicate that it was freshly wrapped, which clashes with the mummy's skin, which has already rotted green. This minifig would have been better if the colours were toned down; the wrappings could be a light brown/grey (giving it an dusty, weathered look) and the mummy's skin could be a dark brown (representing the mummy's dry, mummified state). Also, instead of having green peas for eyes, it could have gaping eyesockets. I think we need comparisons of all the mummies to really see which one is the best. I would love to see this too. Quote
gus Posted December 26, 2010 Posted December 26, 2010 The S3 mummy is cooler looking than I thought. I wish that hadn't used brilliant white for the color though. Is the mummy sending his bandages in to be cleaned and bleached? lol, yeah I was just thinking the same thing, if his wrappings were brown I think he'd look a tad better than the PQ's mummies, the Pharaoh out of the pyramid set gets my vote though as coolest mummy, i really like that figure, his gold death mask is to cool. indyman09 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Wow, that printing on the S3 mummy is wonderfull. Quote
