Posted December 7, 201014 yr Hi all, I would like to present you my Pastoral Life CCCVIII entrie: On this stormy island, far away from the coast, lives the old shepherd. He inhabits his small hut, and is the only inhabitant. Often, however, if a storm arrives the birds begin to circle.... -Sheep design by slyowl- Gallery I hope you enjoyed what you saw!
December 7, 201014 yr Great work Skalldyr, I really like the sense of a storm, by building those trees with flex-tubes. Al-tough the sea could use some more (higher) waves. The cart design of the shepherd looks also really well build, and that built in staircase in the rocks look really wonderful. the Inventor
December 7, 201014 yr Author Great work Skalldyr, Al-tough the sea could use some more (higher) waves. Thank's! As high as this one: I didn't wanted to make the same!
December 7, 201014 yr How beautiful. It really reminds me of a scene I saw a few years ago with the trees blowing. The little caravan is really brilliant and is very homely. Thanks for sharing with us, it was lovely to see.
December 8, 201014 yr Skalldyr, that looks amazing, I like the way to captured a moment. You can tell there is motion it's just frozen. I didn't know you dabbled in so many areas. Awesome work, and good luck.
December 8, 201014 yr A simply outstanding creation Skalldyr! Excellent use of those tube pieces for the slender tree trunks. The positioning of the trees effectively gives the visual of strong winds of an upcoming storm, clearly conveying the "calm before the storm" description. Truly an impressive entry, best of luck in the contest!
December 8, 201014 yr Great work Skalldyr Thats a great bit of landscaping and you've really captured the feel of a storm with those trees and the other details. Nice one!
December 8, 201014 yr Those are both nifty. I love it when people take blocky geometric bricks and create a moc that has an organic feel.
December 8, 201014 yr Great diorama! It is very highly detailed and great techniques are used. Very well done. ~buddy~
December 8, 201014 yr Excellent MOC! You really captured the feeling of the silence before the storm in here, with the jumping fishes (great touch), the small wave above the boat and the birds just at the moment they are flying away to seek a good shelter. The cart is nice as well, and I like all the trash and other stuff lying there, very suitable to the 'old shepherd'. Well done
December 9, 201014 yr Ohh, This looks awesome. Those trees really make the scene great. Great job Edited December 9, 201014 yr by darth yogi
December 9, 201014 yr Author Thank you all very very much! I'm glad you all enjoyed it....and it is very nice to see it frontpaged!
December 9, 201014 yr I am impressed, it feels like I am just waiting for the story to continue when I look at it. Great work!
December 10, 201014 yr Good work! I really like the island idea. The whole thing connects well, there are no empty parts but neither are there overloaded sections. I must admit to not liking the roof of the cart, though. I think it needs to be brown, but that's just my opinion. Other than that, awesome work! Good luck in the contest, although there seems to be some good competition.
December 10, 201014 yr When I first saw this I thought, wow, look at those tree's! The moc is really good, the island is cool with the cart vehicles. I love the way you incorporated the staircase into the rock, thats really cool! Good luck in the contest! CF
