Posted December 8, 201014 yr This is Elswehr Castle, which is inspired by Burg Eltz in Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany). The name is a pun played on elsewhere, Burg Eltz and wehr, which is the german term for weir. It turned out that Elswehr Castle resembles Burg Eltz less than i planned. I hope youre still impressed. The Front: The Back: The Courtyard: As there are many scenes spread across the MOC, I uploaded some additional pics, which are not part of the contest. Some Guard gambling: A herbalist (I am proud of the bag, I build for him): I won't comment on this, but feel free to do so yourself: There are more things to explore, so maybe I will post further pics soon. Btw, this is one one photos, that inspired me: Entry-folder when public Additional Folder, when public Edited December 8, 201014 yr by Kumpelkante
December 8, 201014 yr Whoa! Awesome castle! That thing is very good, it does share similarities with the picture you shared. Nice work
December 8, 201014 yr I tip my hat to you. That is AMAZING! I love all the details that make this seem so lively and real. This is an inspiration. Enough fawning - I must remark that your guards leave much to be desired... I suggest you tighten up the discipline. Hanging one or two of the dice-players will do wonders for security in your magnificent castle.
December 8, 201014 yr Very well done Castle MOC entry Kumpelkante! The whole build looks really very elegant. What I like about this is the brickbuilt base of the castle, unlike the TLG castles with <insert that tiresome argument> base pieces. Lovely details throughout that are enjoyable to look at. Great work overall!
December 8, 201014 yr AWESOME castle 'Kumpelkante' - beautiful detail and action a plenty ! What more cam I say but 'I'm a conformist! !'
December 8, 201014 yr A really nice Castle creation! Loving the design, the rocks, shrubbery etc. It all works quite well. The only real distraction is that the white background seems to eat into the picture in parts which is tricky when it comes to editing. I don't have the answer on fixing it as it is still a skill I struggle with as well, but overall its only a minimal thing on what is a great castle. Good luck.
December 8, 201014 yr Kumpelkante - this is pure beauty! I love it and all the stuff going on inside the castle too! It's not just a building, but there's also life in it!
December 8, 201014 yr Nice castle moc! I actually just went to Burg Eltz myself not too long ago and it is a very beautiful castle.
December 8, 201014 yr That is one great castle, I love that it has a detailed rocky base and it is detailed in the main walls. As well as this there is scenes inside which just give it that much more life. Great work overall.
December 10, 201014 yr A great entry sir! Nice design and great little details really make this a strong entry in this catogory. Not sure if i'll be entering that one;) Nice work and good luck in the comp.
December 10, 201014 yr Enough fawning - I must remark that your guards leave much to be desired... I suggest you tighten up the discipline. Hanging one or two of the dice-players will do wonders for security in your magnificent castle. Perhaps they are gambling over who gets to ask the mermaid out.
December 11, 201014 yr Beautiful castle! I love it. You make me I wish I had the pieces and the skill to make something like it too.
